Where is the Best Coffee in Albuquerque, New Mexico?
i’ve been a fan of flying star for many, many years. i’ve spent more time in their restaurants than i care to admit. the food is tasty, innovative. has quality ingredients. is well-prepared. lots of variety.but let me tell you, their coffee is awful. grossly overroasted. i’d rather consume office coffee that’s languished on a hotplate for 4 hours than flying star’s offering. i’ve never understood why the management insists on peddling that stuff.but it’s about the only blemish on an otherwise fine dining experience.Pros + Creative menu, quality food, relaxed but tasteful decorCons – Was that coffee or charcoal tea I ordered? Service can be slow.
Large deluxe breakfast burrito with red chili for under $6. The food is large portioned and well cooked. The coffee is strong and they have daily specials. Well worth the money spent. The atmosphere is laden with hippies, students, and the occasional artist/poet. The walls change paintings every couple of weeks. The service is fast and decent. A good place to study if there’s not too many people or a band playing. Try the banana nut with chocolate chips!
