One of the best little seafood places in San Francisco. Sit at the counter or sit at the tables, the food will not disappoint. Clam chowder, fresh fish, etc, all is excellent and reasonably priced.

I stumbled on the Blue Mermaid after wondering around the Wharf with my hungry family with kids. I can’t tell you how warm and friendly the staff were. We were all told we had to try the “Award Winning Chowder” …and it’s no joke. It makes my mouth water thinking about it! The kids recieved their kids meal in the most creative way! They are given a “Blue Mermaid Bucket” with their food inside the bucket, and the ketchup for the fries in the sand shovle. They even gave us a clean bucket to take with us. When my friends and family are back in SF I will be sending them their way!!!
