Although this place has great mussels for appetizer and crab cakes for entree, the Managers were rude to me when I was conducting a fundraiser for Breast Cancer and was asking for a possible gift certificate to the restaurant so that I could raffle it off. If you are someone who thinks the company should have been more giving and at least willing to listen to the cause, don’t give them your service.

Once you walk into this establishment there is an air of relaxed ambiance, which is complimented by a light smattering of a maritime milieu, which does not come off as a kitschy contrivance.. As we placed our orders for the appetizers Chef Tice walked by and stopped by our table to greet our party and suggest some of the day’s gastronomic offerings. Having met him earlier this summer at a charity gala that was catered by many of the city’s finer eateries, he was still his cheery, affable self despite the giddy phalanx of patrons streaming in. Besides, his gourmet grail of crab cakes and shrimp alone were enough to goad us into a trip from North Riverdale. As we ordered, one of the stragglers in our party was promptly greeted and seated with our party and we launched into ordering a smorgasbord of surf and turf ,halibut , fillets and steak. All the food was cooked with the immaculate perfection and flavorful nuances that only a “seasoned” chef bestows on every dish. We had our be

Quite simply, I love the Wharf. It’s been my go-to bar for over two years and I keep going back time and time again because it offers the best deals with the best atmosphere in the city.Let’s get to the specifics:1) Hands down these are the best nachos I’ve had in the city…and I’ve tried a lot. I’m always open to new nacho suggestions, but those that I’ve tried have paled in comparison. What makes nachos good? First, a solid topping to chip ratio. I want a heaping amount of toppings spread pretty evenly over my chips so that I get a lot of topping on each chip/bite. I hate it when I’m left with a bunch of soggy chips without toppings, and I never face that dilemma when I’m at the Wharf. I love the chili, the shredded cheese (not manufactured & liquidy), jalapenos, guac, sour cream and salsa on the side…just the whole package. But the best part? They’re only $8!2) Every hour of every Monday – Saturday, there are ALWAYS two beers on special so that a pint will only cost yo

After reading the reviews, I just had to find out for myself…The lobster rolls were only ok…definately not the “best ever” unless you love mayo (I prefer mine on the light side if at all)..although the lobster you could taste seemed very fresh…apparently you cannot request less mayo as they mix the lobster and mayo in batches earlier in the day…It was good, but I would not order again…(I really prefer true lobster roll–warm on toasted bun with butter..but that’s me)…the fries were pretty good and even better with the vinegar… I also had the mussels w/cream sauce..very good..would highly recommend trying…also the pie is truly outstanding…even though they will not serve it warm…I would go back for the pie, mussels, but definately not the lobster roll. Also..just a hint..I would not order the salad..when looking around I noticed the food handler mixing it with her hand, no gloves on…her hands may have been clean, but how do you know?
