Where is the Best Chili in Cincinnati, Ohio?
I have worked for Skyline for over 10 years and I still crave it. It could eat it at all hours of the day, and I used to when I had to go in to work early, nothing beat a coney for breakfast! I feel thus says alot considering I started out in the dishroom and worked my way up to mamgement so I have seen all angles of the operation and I recomend it.Pros + Fast service, unique
One of the best burgers in Cincy, second maybe to Terry’s Turf Club, or perhaps Gordo’s. The toy train that runs around is fun and enhances atmosphere. Not much seating space, so can get very crowded at times.Pros + One of the best burgers in town, toy train running up top.Cons – Cramped space. Impossible to get a table on a weekend night.
I am a second generation patron to this place. My father grew up eating at this little diner and I grew up eating there. In fact we have been known to eat Three-ways and Coneys for breakfast there. It’s that good. I have missed eating there every day of the seven years that I’ve been gone from the Queen City.
Empress chili is my favorite chili place not only because of the food but because it is still family owned. Unlike its competitors the owner works the Hartwell chili parlor. She takes the time to know her costumers and knows my family. They also have chili that is not even comparable to the watered down gold star (no native cincinnatian could eat this chili) and 10 times better than skyline.
