As I read the reviews here I shed a tear, because sometimes in the middle of the day I think about Mama’s and realize it’s so far from California (where I am now). I grew up in Philadelphia and ate here with my Dad and brother whenever we could. AWESOME! The most delicious cheesesteaks you can have. High quality ingredients and deliciously blended. Unique flavor and simply GREAT! Not the same type as Pat’s, etc., but can be related in the sense that this is what those should aspire to be. The pizza is great too. One of my favorite places to eat in the entire world – any class, any price….I would seriously consider a cheesesteak and pizza from Mama’s as my Last Meal.Pros + AWESOME, delicious, Pleasure-inducing

I grea up right accross the street from Pudges’ and now living in lancaster county, my family and I STILL make a point to get a steak from Pudge’s. Besides the amazing fact that they LOAD the steaks, they actually melt the cheese into the meat, making a perfect balance of meat and cheese melted together. I drool every time I think of their steaks. They use fresh, quality ingredients, so you won’t find any unwanted surprises in your lunch. -and a trick to reheat your pudge, take it apart, reheat the meat and toast the roll-Pros + made to order, best steaksCons – crowded at lunch

As I sit here watching game 2 of the Phillies/Rockies NLDS series I think back fondly of trips to Pat’s. I like Pat’s better than I ever would Geno’s if only on the fact that I would never spend any…

When you go to Philly, you get a cheesesteak. And when you want the best cheesesteak, you go to Dalessandro’s. I’ve got the address programmed into my GPS and whenever I’m close (within 75 miles or so) I make the detour. They are that good. I also have to bring about 10 back to the folks up here in CT because there ain’t no better. A day or two later when you heat em up right, they are just as good as the day they were made. Mmmmmm mmmmmm good! I’ve tried em all and there’s no beating the original… Dalessandro’s.Pros + Fantastic Cheesesteaks, friendly peopleCons – Can’t think of any
