It’s exactly what people described it as – very unique. The experimental cuisine isn’t really my cup of tea so I wouldn’t take my review too seriously. I thought the restaurant was very nice and the unusual combinations were always surprising. I didn’t like the food too much, but it was worth the trip. I’m glad I went.Pros + Definitely a new dining experienceCons – Not my type of food

My husband and I ate at Rouge Tomate last night and overall, we enjoyed it.Ambience:- Big, open modern space — nicely decorated. Tables not too close together- Not necessarily romantic, would probably be good for a group.- Granted we went out on a Wed. night, but it was a little empty. I do think it’s important for a big open space like that to be full and bustling. I do hear that it gets a bigger lunch crowd.Service:- Excellent, attentive service- Knowlegeable staff- Food came out quickly — almost too quickly!- Accomodating with special requests. My husband and I like to eat out nicely, but don’t eat meat, which can be a challenge. They took the prosciutto out of 2 dishes for us.Food:- Overall, very good.- Appetizers – I had the Tuna Poke, which was very good, and my husband had the Parsnip Apple Soup (minus the prosciutto), which was delicious.- Main course – My husband had the Fettuccini, which was very light and overall superb. I had the Black Cod minus the b

I went there in april 2009 with my fiance. We had the chef tasting menu which was a few more courses than the regular tasting menu. It was AMAZING!!! Every course was different but the transition from one to the next was great. The squab was really good!! We also added a cheese course and our head waiter helped us pick the cheese. I’m not a cheese person, but it was the BEST BEST cheese experience. And the dessert course for me was superb. I have a HUGE sweet tooth and it satisfied me. Oh, and they gave me an additional dessert with a birthday candle! A nice touch. One more thing to mention–the service was FANTASTIC! they are so attentive and cleaned our table after every single course. really great. Overall, everything met my high expectations. I had heard great things about this restaurant and it exceeded the expectations.

My girlfriend and I were overly excited to go to Babbo after months of anticipation. The restaurant was a little stuffy and pretentious, but it’s safe to assume that’s the atmosphere they are looking for.The sides and appetizers were delicious, but the main dishes were uninspired. However, I do have to compliment on how well our dishes were cooked…I had the squab, and it was fantastic.Happy we went, but most likely won’t go back. On to the next.Pros + Food cooked to perfection, good serviceCons – stuffy, repeated attempts to upsell on wine

Sadly, despite excellent food and a staff that appeared very well-meaning, our Fathers’ Day dinner was a bit of a mess. We were seated 45 minutes late for a 9pm reservation, despite having been assured at 9 and 9:15pm that our table would be available shortly. A long wait is made infinitely worse by poor time estimation or, even worse, straight dishonesty with the customer about the expected time to be seated. Once we’d been seated, the meal and service were excellent, and it was clear that management was doing its best to make up for our long wait – including providing two free appetizers on top of what we’d ordered. Personally, I would’ve much preferred to be comped for food we DID order, but the gesture was appreciated. HOWEVER, at the end of the meal, I found that the complimentary appetizers had been INCLUDED ON OUR CHECK, to the tune of $60 extra. I’m sure it was an honest mistake (our server was extremely apologetic, claiming – honestly, in my view – that a shift change h
