Where is the Best Celeb Hangout in New York, New York?
I visit Juice Generation at least 4 times a week in the winter. Those hot drinks that they have are awesome — I especially like the “Cold Warrior” green tea drink. If I feel like I might be getting a cold, I always try the “Exta C” drink with tons of vitamin C, strawberries, and fresh squeezed apple juice (yummy!!)I also like the sandwiches they offer, although the Cranny Smith Tuna (my favorite!) is usually sold out if I opt for a late lunch.I noticed that Juice Generation is nominated for “Best Celeb Hangout” on Citysearch. I have seen both Hugh Jackman and Vanessa Williams (beautiful!) in the store (also a guy from “The Real World”) My boss was in line behind Mr. DiCaprio himself about 2 years ago!I give this place “TWO THUMBS UP” — great smoothies, hot drinks, and sandwiches!Pros + great juice, fresh, healthyCons – , long wait in line, music is too loud!
Wow. Just… wow. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had. Yes, it’s expensive. But it is SO worth it! The sashimi platter my friend and I shared was delictable. I’ve been to just about every sushi place around here and this is, hands down, the best. They also make their own pickled ginger. And there was fresh wasabi. Which is kick you in your butt fantastic!Pros + wasabi, food, service
We found this place by accident, just looking for a place to have a few cocktails and some food. It ended up to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The staff are among the most attentive and pleasant I’ve ever encountered. One of the waiters who was from Brazil actually jumped behind the bar to make authentic Brazilian Caiprinhas. The food was spectacular….everything we had was perfect. The lobster brulee was creative and I highly reccomend it. The short ribs and the steaks melted in your mouth. The space itself is beautiful yet not stuffy. I will reccomend this restaurant to everyone and we are already planning our next dinner there. It is a bit pricey. It was $500.00 for 3 people…..and it was worth every penny.
Upon first going to Fred’s, I must admit my expectations were limited, given that I saw it as sort of a cool person/fashionista hangout, which usually means the food is mediocre. I was certainly way off on that prediction. Fred’s food is nothing short of superb. Everything is delicious and of high quality, and the presentation is elegant. The service is very polished and alert. The decor is sleek and pleasing to the eye, as are many of the patrons. Price-wise, it’s more than fair for what you are getting. Dinner for 4 the other night with a bottle of wine an desert came out to less than $200 (that includes a 20% tip), which isn’t bad at all for a meal of this caliber. Highly recommended overall.Pros + Excellent food, Polished service, Fun people-watchingCons – Can be crowded
