Where is the Best Caterer in Portland, Oregon?
Our company held a cocktail reception for 100 customers, and the food and service provided by Mezzaluna, Chef John, and staff was incredible. Chef John made suggestions about traffic flow through our available space to make sure we didn’t have bottlenecks; he and his staff were on time and organized, everyone knew what to do and when to do it; the service was never intrusive, but servers were always there when you needed something; and the food!The beef tenderloin crostini with wasabi aioli was delicious (one of the favorites of nearly everyone); the prosciutto and gruyere spiraled in puff pastry was a savory delight; the pear and carmelized onion strudel was a perfect balance, not too sweet or too oniony; but the highlight of the evening was the chicken skewers with spicy green curry cream – except for a couple persons who don’t like even a little bit of spice to their food, I only heard raves about it.We also had an open bar, serving beer, local wines, and selected drinks, inclu
Not sure why anyone would think Big Kahuna’s pork is watered down? I went there yesterday for lunch and the place was packed! Big Kahuna himself was behind the line and a big guy with a aloha shirt was behind the till great customer service by the way! anyway, I ordered the pork sandwich with two sides potato salad and mango cole slaw, the potato salad was ok, but the mango cole slaw was great! crisp and sasy. I also ordered the spicy BBQ sauce on the side as I did not know how hot it might be, Let me tell you what, that sauce was the bomb! spicy but not to spicy. that guy did not know BBQ Kahuna, Don’t pay no attention to his comments I am not local to St. John’s but let me tell you I will be back for more real soon and I will tell all my friends about The BIG KAHUNA”S BBQ. My fiancee and I chose Zen Kitchen for our wedding reception this past August and it was great! Their staff was wonderful to work with. It was nice to not have to worry about everything! The food was beautiful and we got rave reviews from our family and friends. There was hardly anything left at the end of the reception (some of our friends didn’t want to go home). I have heard that their catering is quite good but I have not idea how to even get to thepoint of receiving useful information. For a shopper it’s not easy. It seems up to you to pick what you like off their website and then they’ll talk to you. I came back to citysearch to find another caterer who was more helpful.Cons – dealing with shoppers
I used Catering at It’s Best for my April wedding and was beyond happy with how it turned out. With the exception of a couple small things, it was great. My planner, Bob, was FANTASTIC. Funny, friendly, and did almost everything I asked. The food was great. It was good at our tasting and just as good the night of the event. Our guest RAVED about it. The chicken marsala is amazing. And the canape trio is so worth the money. 3 appetizers for the price of 1. You can’t beat that! The servers, for the most part, were great. One of them was very rude to one of my bridesmaids, but I contacted them and they promised it would be addressed. Other than that, the napkins were not folded the way I asked and I asked that not foliage be placed on the food plates, because it grosses me out. But they were real small things that I didn’t even notice until afterwards. They are also very affordable.
