Where is the Best BYOB Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois?
i give this place 3 thumbs up! they surpass my expectations and wowed me with their food. their miso soup is simply amazing! very reminiscent of Japan and it keeps you a little bit full enough while you wait for your sushi to be served, flavor is clean and very good to the palate. love their maki and sashimi, set in very cute presentations and very, very fresh. their tempura is cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside and very flavorful inside and out. the ambiance is also nice, low lighting that is good for dates and the place may be busy at times but you can still enjoy your food and have decent talks with your date without having to shout over the din.Pros + freshest sushi ever, ambiance
I’m not very well-versed in Moroccan food so I have little to compare this restaurants fare to. From what I do know Moroccan food is supposed to have a plethora of unique flavors. The food at this location did seem a bit “one-dimensional” as I think someone else put it in their review. Their Moroccan mint tea was a nice addition to our meal though and the service was decent. Our server was not extra attentive or friendly but neither was he rude or dismissive. The reason I enjoy this locale is the ambience during warmer months. When I went in the winter and sat inside it was a rather uneventful experience. When it’s warm outside I suggest sitting on the open back patio and puffing on a hookah with some friends. Just that and some mint tea will do it for me at Andalous.Pros + Clark Street, Ambience, HookahsCons – Parking, Average Food, Average Service
We only use them for delivery because inside during dinner hours the place is a madhouse. It is packed and noisy. I have eaten in during some super non peak hours and the decor is nice though the service was iffy as sometimes we’d get a person taking our oder who didn’t seem to understand anything in English besides the names of dishes. Thai food is tasty and prices are OK. We have been pleased with the delivery. They opened a second location on Chicago Ave but I have not checked it out.Pros + ask for free crab rangoon w/delivorders above certain amountCons – way too noisy and crowded to eat in
