Where is the Best Business Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah?
This Marriott is a nice business oriented hotel located conveniently to downtown attractions. We choose this hotel because it was close to the Family History Library. The air conditioning unit was not powerful enough in the Utah heat to make the room always comfortable, even after maintenance made adjustments. The bed had heavy comforters such that to be cool one had to sleep without any covers at all. The room was very small and the room next door was quite spacious and it was at the same price. There was no hot water one day while trying to get dressed in the morning for the meeting we were attending. The food in the restaurant was very good but there was only one server trying to wait on all the tables. They had no books or magazines in the gift shop. They charged for the use of internet when most nice hotels are offering free wireless internet service.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel for service, convenience, and comfort. However, one of the restaurants was absolutely terrible. Spencer’s was very good, but Trofi was awful — the food was not good and the service was exceptionally slow. The room service food was also bad. I would stay there again, but would not plan on relying on the hotel for food. …
Usually, I try to find a Comfort Suites and skip the Comfort inns. That would have been a mistake. This hotel provides some of the best service and amenities of anywhere in the Choice Hotel system.
