Las Brisas has the best margaritas in town and they are very potent. 2 are plenty for just about anybody. If they cost more than other places (I’m not sure of that) it’s probably because they actually have alcohol in them. I love the Blue Bonnet but you can drink their margaritas all night long and never know you had a drink! If you go on a weeknight, the bar is often packed by 5:30. The food is good and there is an interesting variety of dishes on the menu. Service has always been good for us in the bar and dining room, but once when we were seated on the enclosed patio early in the evening, service was slow. Tip: you can buy Las Brisas margaritas already mixed at some liquor stores in Denver.

My friend and I went there for lunch and overall I found the place very disappointing. The staff was very nice and greeted us outside and made us very welcome. Our waiter was attentive and talkative, not that smiley though, but it wasn’t a problem. The place stunk, almost like a raw or stale shrimp smell, I have been to several seafood restaurants and never smelt anything so bad. Our garlic bread was crisp and tasty. My fish and chips had nice fries, but the mahi mahi was tasteless. The mudpie dessert had no flavor, except for tons & tons of sugar. Our bill was $44.18 for two people, I don’t mind paying high prices for seafood, but I expect high quality, not this junk. If you want good seafood, go to one of Denver’s excellent non-franchise seafood restaurants, heck even Chilli’s or Applebees beats this place hands down. The only saving grace was the good service (4 stars) the food was awful. Pros + Good serviceCons – decor, poor quality entrees, pricey, and lack of value

I came to Tamayo for my birthday dinner and was seriously impressed with everything that came to our table. My girlfriends and I started with margaritas and mojitos. I had the mango mojito and it was…

I recently went to dinner with my coworkers at Simms Landing. We arrived at 5:30 so we sat on the patio for happy hour. Happy hour specials are great with $4.50 (maybe $4.95) apps, including a half dozen oysters and $2 to $2.50 drinks (wine, well, draft Coors Light). The oysters were great and the artichoke dip was not so great, a bit runny and needed a bit of spice. When our party arrived we went into the dining room for dinner. The view for dinner was great as was the view for happy hour on the patio. The sourdough bread was wonderful, the salads were pretty good. We ordered six entrees and satisfaction varied. The people who ordered red meat were not overly impressed while those who ordered seafood or chicken were happy. I had the Sea Bass Napoleon and it was outstanding. The dessert tray is very tempting with a lot of great choices. We settled on the Tiramisu. The espresso and cappuccino were also very good.Overall, a very good place to go to for seafood. The views are
