Where is the Best Business Dining in Austin, Texas?
This is an excellent restaurant to take your significant other or your loved one for fine dining. It has dim lighting, an intimate setting?.the ambiance perfect. The cuisine along with the presentation of it all is exquisite. Nothing on the menu will leave you disappointed; even the water they serve is fantastic?.it?s the best I?ve ever had. The only downside to the restaurant is the service. Please understand my critique is solely based on one that existed from dining in a large group. I should also mention that I frequent fine restaurants on the regular, so I have an idea of what to expect. I feel that a restaurant of this price and caliber, the service could have been much swifter and taken to the next level. There was about a 30-minute lag in between courses, crumbs were never cleared from the table, and the piece de resistance was when the food to be taken home was presented in a plastic white grocery bag. Our server was prompt and friendly and the decor lovely, however the seasoning on both my and my husband’s steaks were quite salty. The filling to my steak, while good, wasn’t great and there wasn’t nearly as much as I’d expected. For dessert, my husband’s key lime pie was fabulous but my cheesecake was merely OK and I had to ask for additional topping for it since what came with it was merely a drizzle around the edge of the plate.Overall, the meal was OK, but certainly not worth the $100+ we paid for it. i sat at the sushi bar and had briana as my server. she seemed to have great knowledge of the menu and right off the bat brought up the specials. my date and i ordered a bottle of sake and basically left our sushi up to alan our sushi chef.he started us with torched escolar which was fabulous and then a few off menu items such as yellow tail with some kind of an orange sauce and goat cheese.the kitchen food was also fabulous. it was happy hour so we got some calamari and pot stickers for only 5 dollars each. the pot stickers had some cherries with it which was awesome.my favorite app was the blue crab cake. it had a puree with a curry taste to it as well as some green sauce. not sure what that was but it was great.all in all everything was great. the manager even came up to ask us how everything was. i highly recommend this place. sitting at the sushi bar was a great time. the sushi chefs were drinking with us and all in all it was a full atmosphere.Pros + fresh fish, grea
What’s ‘Austin Stoner Food’? It’s food prepared by someone who thinks more is better. Let’s make a filet mignon with mashed potatoes and veggies. Now, let’s put some blue cheese on the meat. Hey, let’s put some sweet potato on there too. Hey, let’s throw an enchilada on the plate and maybe a samosa too! Now, let’s throw a few more flavors and elements on the plate just ?cause I?m stoned and it sounds good?Okay, seriously, my main criticism is, that while bold, the plates overwhelm the palate with too many, not necessarily harmonious elements and lack sophistication.My favorite part of dining here is the very reasonable wine list. I?ve found the service good as well. I should add I did like it as a lunch spot. Even the ?1000 flavor salad?
