Where is the Best Buffet in Denver, Colorado?
You’ve got to know going in that this place is not posh. It’s simply a fun, casual neighborhood Mexican restaurant that gives the feeling that it’s proudly family owned and operated. The Mariachi band on Friday night is why I go. It’s a cheap, fast dinner and you get serenaded at the same time. The kids usually love it! During the warmer months, there’s a little secluded patio where you can eat outside. Again, fun! The food is satisfying and traditionally mexican – no frills – but yummy. I’d say worth a trip for the price and ambience.Pros + Mariachi band , casual, priceCons – no frills, can be loud
We’ve tried a number of Indian restaurants in the metro Denver area (Bombay Clay Oven, Little India, India House, Namaste and Taste of India to name a few), but this is our favorite. We’ve never been there for dinner, b/c it’s too hard to pass up the variety in the lunch buffet. I’ve looked at the dinner menu, though, and the prices are much more reasonable than dinner menus at other Indian restaurants. (For example, Bombay Clay Oven – dinner prices are a joke at $18-$24, but I think it’s just b/c of it’s location in Cherry Creek. Still, we were highly disappointed in the dinner at Bombay – we could’ve gone to Mel’s, which is now closed, for the same price.) Even at lunch, Jewel of India’s bread is made-to-order (with lots of butter!), not placed on the buffet line like most places. Jewel of India is our favorite, b/c the flavoring and spicing is the best we’ve had. Also, the variety of offerings at lunch are better than any other Indian lunch buffet we’ve visited. Most places
