Where is the Best Buffet in Dallas, Texas?
My fiance brought me here on our first date. The restaurant has low-lighting, candles and music playing softly in the background. This is a very relaxing restaurant with a staff that allows you to enjoy your evening. I am very predictable because I always get the Mikonos Chicken (Grilled chicken skewers with rice & mixed vegies/soup &/or salad and fresh pita bread) I do not like tomatoes; however I love their tomato basil soup ! If you are looking for a wonderful evening with your friends and/or that special someone, try Cafe Greek. I come here all the time !
Great place! Great for a group (especially when there is a futbol game on). Also very nice for an intimate dinner especially on Frid. nights with live brasilian music. I go here all the time, so do the Brasilians. Just like you would find in Brasil. Pros + Small, authentic, quiet, friendlyCons – Make sure you are rung up correctly, I’ve run into some glitches a couple times.
I know the one on preston is the only one left now … I thought they might have up the standard or re-deco the place or atleast make the food better…boy was I dissapointedas I walked in I was greeted with a smile (manager/owner figure) sat down in a booth…the somewhat emo server took my drink order so I left for the15 or so item buffet table…as I can see the choices are very limited and americanized….rice/brown rice (didn’t have any), sweet & sour pork / chicken (didn’t bother trying), stir-fry chow mein (this is good and a must for me), string beans (this was good), kung pao beef (over cooked beef), gen. tsao’s chicken (too much flours on meat), mushroom chicken (tasteless)…on the other side they also have fried chicken wings / HUGE egg rolls (on top of the heating table), spring rolls, some suspicious looking california roll, salad, 2 more fried things (no idea what they are), egg plants (these were ok), and steamed salmon in black beancurd sauce (didn’t try), dim sum ha
Their pizza is so delicious! Don’t forget about Angelo’s when you’re ordering pizza take-out/delivery – SO much better than those chains. When eating at the restaurant, I recommend the back area where it’s romantic with the low lighting. The servers have always been very friendly and attentive, but not overly in your face. Can’t say ANYTHING negative.Pros + Wonderful pizza for take-out, Ambience, Great location in Lakewood
A tip for first-timers—pace yourself! Don’t be tempted to load up on all those gorgeous greens and tantalizing tidbits as you walk the entry salad bar. You can always go back for more. Besides, there are those scrumptous soups—a whole soup bar full of ’em and they change and rotate the kinds of soups served all the time—so much so that my all-time favorite, the cream of tomato soup, isn’t available as often as I would like to enjoy it. Pace yourself there, too, taking smaller portions so you can sample two or three at a time. Be creative! mix ‘n match the different bars. I enjoy mixing the hot, sauteed veggies (a daily offering at the hot bar) with nuts, cheeses (the cheese gets all melty) and olive oil from the salad bar. But that’s not all! The selection of tempting teas is unmatched at any other lunch spot I’ve visited and as an added bonus they actually offer caffeine-free diet cola (really!), an impossible dream at most eateries around town. But now for the dark side of
