Where is the Best Budget Date Spot in Las Vegas, Nevada?
We stumbled into the griffin while walking on freemont street. What a cool spot. We didn’t actually have a drink, but it seemed like a bar I would like to hang out in. they have a fire pit inside to warm you up and lots of seating. If you are in downtown and tired of the casino bars this is a good alternative.
This is a cute little place with a lot of cupcake varieties. All the cupcakes look so pretty in their glass dome cake stands. We visited their shop on Sunday and got 4 flavors: Cocoa Frauline – basically a German chocolate cake. It was okay. It didn’t really make me feel like I was eating a sinful chocolate cake or anything. I expected a bit more, but it did have a pecan gooey center that I wasn’t expecting. Lemon – Jeff is a fan of lemon so he naturally ordered this. It was like big bird bright yellow! He seemed to be disappointed by it. We were pretty full so we ended up eating the other 2 cupcakes a day later (which may have effected how they tasted): Kir Royale – raspberry cake with champagne frosting. I never had champagne frosting so I really wanted to try this. The cupcake had a nice flavor and I liked the frosting. However, I didn’t eat the whole cupcake and Jeff didn’t finish it. So a so-so cupcake? Orange Julicious – Again, this cupcake had Jeff’s name written all over it. Th
Everybody likes Pink Taco…right?Juli here letting you in our Monday outting to the fabulous Las Vegas staple Pink Taco.Appropriately located in the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino where beautiful people are as in abundance as the slot machines…..usually that is….this particular Monday something was…well off. The chi of the Hard Rock was in disorder, possibly there was a beautiful people convention going on somewhere OTHER than the Hard Rock that day, and we didn’t get the memo….READ WHOLE REVIEW/BLOG at:sinctysocialite.blogspot (DOT) com/2009/06/062909-pink-taco-2-12-fab-points.htmlFollow us on twitter: @SINCTYSOCIALITEPros + food, staff, decor, priceCons – menu hard to read
Located about 13 miles around the scenic loop, Pine Creek is totally unexpected. An easy hike for at least a mile (retrace steps to get back). In no time you’re in a Ponderosa Pine forest with a creek paralleling your path. Fit hikers can choose either the South Fork or Fern Creek past the one mile fork in the trail. You can rock scramble or, if you’re lucky, continue on up either canyon on unmarked trails. Fern Creek Canyon is complete with ferns, flowing creek and waterfalls- if you’re persistent.Pros + Unexpected beauty, free, good fitness outingCons – small parking lot, hot in summer months, up-and-back trail
This has got to be one of the better diners in the Las Vegas where the food is delicious, the prices are solid, and the service has been decent. There is a good view of the casino from this area and the funky decor compliments the overall theme of the Hard Rock. Definitely worth heading out to if you happen to be at the Hard Rock.Pros + Inexpensive, Great Food, ServiceCons – Popular, Crowded
