Where is the Best Brunch in Houston, Texas?
It is located at the mouth of the Richmond/Louisiana exit. It is set up like a jazz café with art on all the walls, large windows to let in the maximum amount of light, and soft jazz and R&B plays in the background to provide a lively vibe to enjoy your meal. The Klub has a very friendly and responsive wait and cashier staff. It boasts really short lines due to their incredible service and a wait staff brings your meals to you to make sure that your food gets to you hot. It has a very organized and clean self-service station with everything stacked up exactly where it needs to be. If you get there early enough they will even bring a menu to your car so that you can order immediately and get your food promptly. This Klub opens extra early, 7 am, for those early birds and even has a special for people who are early risers. Whether it is after an epic party, after going to church, or meeting your girlfriends family for the first time, this is the right place to do it. With a wide selection of inexpensive breakfast items, this restaurant has something perfect for everyone. I love brunch, and I love the community dining experience that goes with it. I always go with the french toast, hot chocolate, and a side of bacon, but my friends go crazy for the pancakes and the omelets. It’s always a good scene with quality food, but if you aren’t there to get in line at the opening, you might be waiting a while to get something to eat. You have been warned! So this was my second time to La Strada in the last few months…I have to admit, on a sunday afternoon, it’s a pretty happening spot. Unfortunately, when we decided to go out for dinner in the middle of the week, it was quite the opposite. My first clue should have been the fact that the place was empty, but the wait staff told us we were just early, and the place starts filling up in another half hour or so. There were only two people at the bar for “happy hour”, but still we decided to stay and have dinner. If we had stopped at the appetizers, at least I wouldn’t have left with a bad taste in my mouth, and I do mean that literally. We ordered the crab cakes and calamari — pretty standard dishes, and they came out fine, not the best, not the worst. For our entrees, we ordered the snapper and shrimp & scallops, both were very poorly prepared. When i walked in i realized it was an actual lodge built in the 1850’s or around that time. There was a river next to it and looked very old timely looking. The food was great in taste and style. The salad looked so beautiful i didn’t want to eat it! This place is sort of pricey, but worth the money. The only down side is the size of the portions. But don’t let it throw you off. Waffling means to go back and forth…yeah, to the waffle station at Quattro. If you have a fat wallet and you are devout fan of National Waffle Day, you can’t go wrong with the Four Seasons’ brunch.Simple, warm maple syrup over a fresh, toasty mini waffle, makes one forget about filling up with overly-decorated waffles, bland pancakes, or heavy bagels from the regular breakfast greasy-spoons. Create each mini waffle with different fruit and fresh whipped cream for dessert, and order your coffee black to contrast the tastes. Kids can also order Belgian waffles with warm maple syrup from the children’s menu.The Four Seasons is known for their best brunch in any city, but I would only go here if I were splurging for Thanksgiving or Christmas to experience their lavish decorations and taste a variation of gourmet versions of traditional dishes. Brunch during the holidays is close to $80 per person and close to $30 for kids. Hopefully, you have a small family with a big appetite.
