I went here for dinner because it was convenient to my location, was suggested to be reasonably priced, and had outdoor seating. They also accepted opentable.com reservations. The wine selection was good, and even wines by the glass were good. My friend said his meal was delicious, as was the amuse, but my “Kobe” beef was simply fatty beef. Also, the “reasonably priced” part was a joke. This site says average $15-25/entree. The cheapest thing was $22, and most were $28+. 2 entrees and 4 glasses of wine = $100+ before tip! The quality of food (at least mine) did not demand this price. Also, we were late (but called), and were the only ones in the place. The reataurant marked us as late, reducing my opentable points. Outdoor seating is nice, and the chef obviously has the ability, but the cost suggests you wait until they figure it out.

Extensive menu revision has occurred. Extensive staff changes have happened. Big remodeling happened. Everything is more expensive now, but the best thing on the menu is the seared tuna sandwich! The new menu includes a change in the greens used for the salads and that’s a big improvement. As ever, there is too much red meat on the menu. The prices have gone up so much that we go in only about once a month for the seared tuna sandwich & a brew. Before we were there about once a week. The changes in the waitstaff, and the busing people are obvious & the management needs to more carefully attend to training the personnel.

Like a kid in a candy store or better yet like a kid waiting eagerly on Christmas eve, so does my family for Meli Cafe. Every weekend we go there and can not wait to see what the chef has in store for us. The last few weeks have been very interesting, as he seems to have heavy French influences in his choices. A few weeks ago I tried his White truffle omelet (fantastic by the way), and this weekend I tried his caviar omelet (also pleasant). What my kids enjoy is their new crisps, which are a healthy alternative to the potato chip. Pros + Great food selection, fresh ingredients, high end ingredients.Cons – Tight fit,

I ordered the veggie burger with grilled asparagus. The asparagus was grilled and salted lightly to perfection, still maintatining its color and texture. The burger fell apart, but was still tasty. I ate my husband’s fries which were delicious. The ambiance was intimate. We decided it was a good value and worth a second visit!
