Where is the Best Brooklyn Shop in New York, New York?

since the moment i walked into lawanna’s, i knew our whole neighborhood was in for the time of our lives. there is a GREAT staff, who makes all of their customers feel comfortable, and they are ALWAYS going that extra step to help, without being pushy (which is very rare in nyc). not only are they the most unique store in brooklyn, but the time and effort they put into the shop shows through. constantly up on the hottest trends from all over the country, researching fashion conventions, having the most recent info on all their merch, and also selling much gear for local artists. even being a small shop, they are the biggest part of their community.Pros + most unique clothing, easiest location, cummunity involved

this store has some great shoes. I am usually not one for sporty shoes, but I have gotten so many great pairs of sneakers for my boyfriend here. This store is awesome!! Check it out for sure. Also when i was in there i noticed that consumers can be totally annoying when trying on shoes, give these sales people a break take a look around the store once and pick out all the hsoes you wanna try and then tell them all at once this way they don’t have to run around like maniac’s back and forth

I think Butter stocks some of the best jewelry in NY. It’s expensive but worth the splurge. However, I really do wish that they would put the prices with the pieces, it’s always such a pain to have to ask the slightly scary sales ladies (particularly the small olive skinned one, with wavy brown bobbed hair) as they have to get out a binder to look them up, and when you’re interested in more than one piece, this gets aggravating for both involved. I think they would sell far jewelry that way – as I know I personally would have bought more.As for the clothes, they’re lovely. Classic , hip pieces in neutral tones. I do think a little color wouldn’t go amiss and maybe they could think about featuring a few newer or hipper designers. But overall, I would say this is one of my favorite NY stores and worth the trip to Brooklyn. (BTW, it’s in Boerum Hill, NOT Brooklyn Heights. Take the AC to Hoyt Schermerhorn and take the Bond St. exit).Pros + a great place to find a classic investment p

I’ve visited this shop several times and have bought some wonderful, handmade, and truly unique items; some of my favorite things in my closet come from Kiwi. The clothes are beautiful, colorful and funky. The staff is friendly, but sometimes to a fault. They are eager to help you and gush over your clothing picks in a way that feels inauthentic, sounds saccharine, and leaves you wondering if you could possibly look that GOOD! Each time I go, the staff displays a hovering attentiveness that makes me feel uncomfortable. I hate overly solicitious service and often wish they would let me pick out my own clothes, unless I ask for help! If they addressed this one issue, I would return more often, as the clothes really are terrific and reasonably priced.Pros + choices, styles, good fitsCons – poor staff boundaries

Brooklyn has more than it’s share of lovely little boutiques these days and Sir is one of my favorites. While I am especially fond of the jewelry, the clothing collection has only gotten better every year. If you come at the right time you can actually see one of the owners/designers working on a new piece right at the counter. It’s so cool and so are they.Pros + Interesting, Friendly, OriginalCons – None
