Where is the Best Bridal in San Francisco, California?
I found a wonderful dress at Glamour Closet. I loved that you didn’t have to make an appointment and that you weren’t limited in the number of dresses you could try. The sales people were helpful and unpretentious, and didn’t try to sell you something that didn’t look right. I have recommended this store to everyone I know.HOWEVER, the seamstress recommended by Glamour Closet (and the one who comes to the store), Julie of Frances Clare Sewing, was disastrous. She nearly ruined my dress, cutting far too much fabric (an extra inch) when she was shortening the shoulder straps. There was no way to add fabric back in without it looking really cheap so this was a big deal. Taking the straps up too much caused the waist to sit too high as well, which pulled on other seams. Julie’s solution to this problem (after telling me that I had wanted it this way) was to cut additional fabirc which would have changed the line of the dress even further. She also charged me for hemming the linin
Goldberry is fantastic. It is absolutely the place to go if you are looking for top quality designer jewelry. I recently purchased the perfect diamond engagement ring there. My fianc?e loves it, can couldn’t be happier. Princess cut D color, super sparkling diamond, with a unique solitaire setting — unlike any other ring I saw anywhere in the city.If you’ve been shopping for an engagement ring, you’ll realize there is a bit of a tension of size vs. quality for a given budget. Choosing Goldberry, you are choosing to get the absolute best quality diamond within your budget (she sells only D color diamonds, as others have mentioned, and the diamonds have spectacular light performance). So if you want to flash around a ring that is heavy on the carats with lower quality diamonds (not a perfectly colorless D and/or lower clarity and light performance), then this is NOT the place for you (unless of course you have the money to get a lot of carats at of the highest quality). If, how
I have a friend who works here and she’s been trying to get me to come in to check out the incredible selection of accessories. I wish i would have went sooner. They have local artists that contribute to the store so there’s a wide variety of flavors to choose from in jewlery so you’re bound to find something that is just your taste and style. The staff is always very welcoming, which sometimes in small boutiques you get a snotty feel, this place is very cool and friendly. they are open until 10 pm! So it’s a very fun place to drop into after a nice dinner in north beach. They also always have a nice selection of cool purses at GREAT prices! My friend told me that the owner does custom work as well and often times will design special sets for wedding parties, proms or any type of special occasion you’re attending. If you haven’t been you should definitely check it out!
After visiting several other “high end” bridal salons in the city and being frustruted with their snootiness or unprofessionalism, my soon-to-be sister in law recommended that I visit Jin’s shop. From the moment you walk into her calm beautiful 3rd floor space with great natural light, you automatically feel less stressed about the decision of choosing a wedding dress.Jin is an extremely talented designer, and will work with you to alter any of her own designs to meet your needs. Myself, I ended up choosing one of the other great designers she carries. Still, since they trust her knowledge, they still made a dress custom fitted to me and sent it to Jin for the final fitting. Whether you purchase one of her originals or another designer you still receive the personal attention from Jin at each visit.Jin is an amazing person, and always treated myself and any of my friends I brought along with me like we were her only customers. Her staff is very professional and helpful as well.
