Where is the Best Bridal in Portland, Oregon?
I use to live in PDX, moved to WA.But loved a wedding gown there, I was referred, so I ordered it knowing that I would have to make trips.Sales people the 1st 2 times were good-but the 1st fitting,I had to go by myself, and BALLED as soon as I was out the doors. They put me in my dress cut it while it was on me, then told me to get out of it so it wouldnt fray, didnt get to try on veils,& wouldnt see my dress again in time to order a veil since it takes weeks.Didnt ask if I needed any accessories- isnt that service& more $$$ for them? The alteration lady made my 2nd fitting 9 weeks out, which I thought was odd, & close, so I called 2 days later& moved my appt up a week.I show up after driving 6 hrs with my aunt & 2 flower girls, & mother-in-law to try on the dress with my underwear, veil (another store), learn how to bustle it, & tie up the corset. We waited 20 mins, eventually they told us, no one had us written down the appt, or told the seamstress. We asked if we could try on what was d
On this particular occasion I received flowers from my family which were sent to me for my birthday. (And 20 years ago, Richard did the flowers for my wedding. I was so pleased that I have used their services since.) The recent arrangement was absolutely breathtaking. The flowers are premium blooms, and they always last much longer than I expect. There’s tremendous value in the exceptional quality and design that’s a signature touch of elegance in their work. The added suggestion to my family that they could send this a day earlier was a superb suggestion – way to go! . . . You really made my day! Pros + Exceptional, Elegant, Unique
The store I got the dress from recommended a seamstress so I figured she?d be good. Unfortunately, it was not so. When I picked up the dress, I noticed that it was pretty tight around my chest but I thought it was due to my excitement and that I was simply breathing too hard. I didn?t notice anything weird in the 5 minutes I had it on, I paid and left.I took the dress home and a couple of days later decided to put it on again just to see how it looked ? I couldn?t pull the zipper up and I noticed some weird lumps around my waist (on the sides) and a pouch on the front of the dress (it is draped) that made me look like a mama kangaroo!Since I am scared of turning into the stereotypical bridezilla, I thought I was just being crazy. Finally, I called one of my bridesmaids to see if she wouldn?t mind helping me put on the dress and giving me her opinion. The minute I took a breath with the dress zipped all the way up, the top-most button went flying into the air! Before you think th
I am a former client of the Bridal Loft. My wedding was in July ’06. I don’t know why I didn’t write a review sooner, but I recently stopped by to bring copies of my wedding pictures to the fabulous Loft ladies and that triggered my memory of what a great place this is and I just had to write a review. If you are straight laced and overly serious and stuffy this probably isn’t the place for you! This is a fun, professional, energetic and creative group of women. Things do operate differentley here, which is the only reason I can think some people gave them a bad review. The Bridal Loft isn’t Nordstrom’s. It is a small business. Sometimes getting an appointment can be hard, mostly because the business owners are also their own secretaries, schedulers, accountants, etc. If you aren’t familiar with small business you may have trouble understanding how they operate. I had my gown altered by Kim (she is funny as heck!) she is very skilled and I would trust her with any gown. Andr
