Where is the Best Breakfast in San Antonio, Texas?
Le Peep is one of my favorite places for breakfast! It’s friendly, fast, cheery and reasonably priced. Lots of selection so everyone can find something. For coffee lovers like me, they leave the carafe of coffee on the table, too! Omelets are my favorite, here, but I’ve tried the pancakes and those are great too. Since this place is listed under burgers I will rate their burgers. The only one I’ve ever had is the Frontier Burger (double meat). If done right (not over cooked) it’s one of the best burgers you will find in San Antonio. They put their own special sauce on it (thousand island blend) which makes it great. Fries are pretty good. If you order a salad with it (the combo) try the blue cheese. I’ve loved it for over 20 years. It has peppercorn in it.
We decided it was time to find a new breakfast favorite in SA. LePeep was a good choice. We arrived about 930 on a Sunday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I had the breakfast banana split (fruit and yogert) while hubby had the waffles. We had great service and the food was very good. Nothing about it stood out from other breakfast places, except maybe the atmosphere. We went to the one in Stone Oak and it is very light and clean. I would recommend going before about 10am on a Sunday, as that is about when the line started to form at the door.Pros + good food, prompt service
for my birthday, me and my boyfriend went to madhatters for sunday brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. the food was good, i had the tamales and eggs. and i had to get the bottomless fish bowl mimosa, which was on point. be forewarned though, if you’re not absolutely sure you’re gonna drink two or three rounds, the price (i think it was $13) isnt worth just one drink because they fill up your bowl (yes an actual fish bowl) pretty good. plus the food fills you up as well. i loved the decor and i would definitely come back!my only con would be parking. besides the handful of spaces in front on the restaurant, you have to parallel park on the street and walk. i didnt mind but others might.Pros + food and drinksCons – parking
I saw the reviews on Citysearch and decided to take a friend there at the last minute on a Sunday morning. Tucked away in a nice, quiet residential area of San Antonio, the drive there was pleasant and there was plenty of parking. The wait was almost an hour, but it was so incredibly worth it that I’ll gladly wait 2 hours next time. The coffee was delicious–slighly nutty, the spinach and mushroom omelette was incredibly fresh without the slightest hint of grease, and the side of pancakes was to DIE for. I mean it–I have never had anything quite like these–they were rich and creamy yet also light and fluffy (how is that possible?). As we were eating and the church crowd started to build up, we realized that we dodged a bullet with timing. There were a TON of impatient, rude people waiting outside, gawking at us while we ate and complaining that they thought they were next.
