Where is the Best Breakfast in Providence, Rhode Island?
I have been a loyal and regular customer to Cindy’s for a long while now, and I must say that the more I go the more I love it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all nothing short of fantastic, but my favorite of the three would have to be lunch. I go in everyday and just say i want the special chicken wrap, whether it be jazzed up with cranberries, apples and maple dressing or perfected with some avacado and ranch. The ingredients change everyday. The different combinations of ingredients they use on their specials at lunch are always delicious and unique. The staff is very friendly and personable, not to mention the best looking in Newport County! Cindy’s Country Cafe is a must if you plan on eating to the max satisfaction when it comes to taste, portions, and value. IF YOU VISIT NEWPORT COUNTY YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THE DINING OF CINDY’S!! you WONT regret it :)Pros + fast, friendly service and exceptional food
One of Newport’s standards. Frequented by locals and tourists alike. During the summer; on the weekend, you could potentially die from hunger for the wait. They make it somewhat tollerable by allowing you to get your own coffee. If you aren’t too hung over to get up before 9am you’ll get in like slim. They offer the traditional fare but spice it up here and there. My personal fav is the spa eggs bennie (spinach and hollandaise). They also have a great 5and10 candy selection.
I missed breakfast by 12 minutes so had to have lunch. I got the lobster salad which was good with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing. (Doesn’t come with the salad, that’s my taste preference.) I really liked the thick rye bread(you get your choice of breads). It was soft, with a good crust. Loved it. I was going to get some chocolate muffins to go on my way out the door but someone beat me to it. Next time I’m going to try breakfast which I’m thinking will be darn good! I wasn’t impressed with the espresso, however, it was rather weak for my taste. It didn’t taste like espresso at all, more like weak coffee.Despite the fact that the food was good, I was not impressed with the staff, who seemed very stressed and distracted. They did things like leave cleaner on neighboring tables for a long time, and the floor was absolutly filthy. It really needed to be swept up because crumbs, papers, napkins etc were everywhere. Someone could easily slip or be put off by the filth.Pros
