Where is the Best Breakfast in Dallas, Texas?
i would agree the wait here is kind of ridiculous for what is essentially a glorified IHOP, and i could have done without the lipstick stain on my water glass, but the food here is very tasty and there’s good people watching to be had. i will definitely return despite the shortcomings.Pros + menu variety; good biscuitsCons – long wait for table on sunday AM
I do not understand why people rave about breadwinners. I have been there multiple times and am a dallas native…i simply don’t get it. the breakfast bread sampler at the beginning generally has four types of bread and only one is good. why would i want tomato basil bread in a breakfast pastry mix every single time? Last time i went i decided to try some type of french toast with cinnamon or something but it didn’t have any taste. it’s decent but definitely does not live up to the hype. really, if you want good breakfast, go to the pancake house where they have good waffles, good pancakes and real syrup. mmmm
Great location, good coffee, free wireless. The crew does a nice job brewing, service is fast, and the shop is well kept. Drive through for early morning pick-up. Rumor that they also cater; I’ve not tried that service. I’ve been to a couple of live music events — nicely done and casual (come-and-go).Pros + Location, attention to detail, good coffee, drive thru, fun “little kid” chairs for the childrenCons – None
This was my first visit to Java Flakes and I had a great experience. There are two cereal bowl sizes. A full order (24oz) and a half order (12oz). I was hungry so I chose the full order. I mixed three kinds of cereal, Smart start, Honey nut cheerios, and Special K. I choose cranberries as my topping and I had my cereal with Soy Milk (no extra charge). I also had a Strawberry Smoothie. I had so much fun! The owner is the nicest guy. Overall this was the best experience that I have had eating out in a very long time, and they have a frequent dinners card. I hope they are here to stay.
I love this place for breakfast – on the weekends when I’m moving slowly. This isn’t a quick in and out on the weekends as the place gets really busy, but waiting for the patio is well worth it when the weather is agreeable. Basic breakfast food yet very affordable. The service usually comes with a smile, although there have been a couple times where the server ignored my table. It’s a VERY laid-back atmosphere with a good sized menu and perfect for a lazy Saturday morning!Pros + Cheap but good breakfast spot
