Laura was fantastic. She was extremely consultative and helpful with her suggestions. She explained the dry curly cut process as she went and the day-to-day techinique. I’m very low maintenance and rolled my eyes at the suggestion of all the scrunching and such. But I figured I’d give it a go. This is about the first time in my 41 years that I’ve been really excited about a cut. My hair now curls the way I’ve admired others’ curls for years! I had no idea my hair could look like it does. The curls are smooth and defined. Even my ultra unobservant husband complimented me. And this is the next day, when I did it, not the stylist. (The scrunching, et al process Laura assured me wouldn’t be that big of a deal really isn’t that big of a deal. Okay let me start by saying I’ve had about 10 brazillians done at this salon, which was recommended to me by a friend. Overall I think this salon is a treasure, I always find a parking spot right in front, they can always fit me in the day I call, and I’m in and out of there in 10-15 minutes. HOWEVER, I have noticed some major differences in the quality of work done by the girls there. Chris is by far the best I have seen, she takes a minute or two longer than the others but it’s totally worth it. Not all of them will ask if you’d like to flip over but if you ask them they’re, in my experience, more than happy to do it. Avoid Angelica, who doesn’t take pride in her work and makes you hold your own skin taught. Oh, and remember to ask for a packet of Finipil if they forget to give you one, that stuff is the best. I love going to Details. They are very concerned with your total relaxation and satisfaction. I have, thus far, utilized their services for haircuts and manicures. I love getting my haircut by Deanna…she is a great talent but also a joy to talk to! One manicure, in particular, stands out in my mind. I accidentally dropped my wedding ring. Three hours later, with lots of help and Brian Horst himself showing up to lend a hand, we found it! Give Details a try, you won’t be sorry. They are so nice and the services are excellent! I am a very visual person & 526 is a so pleasing to the senses. Because 526 has an art gallery in the back there are well placed & fitting pieces of artwork throughout the salon area. The product displays are beautiful. They are wonderfully organized & presented ? they are pieces of art themselves. 526 carries Bumble products and Dermalogica skincare. If you haven?t used either you are seriously missing out. I hated doing my hair & washing my face ? but with these products it is fun because you know they work. The staff really works hard to make sure you get the products you need &guarantee you will be satisfied.The staff working the reception area is exceptional. They are always quite busy but still greet you with a smile & offer you something to drink while you wait. Each time I?ve come in there has been someone checking in or out ahead of me & they always make a point to smile and let me know they will be with me in a moment. When I went to Sabai Body Temple, I did not know what to expect, since I have done home service massages with family members.
