Where is the Best Boutique in San Francisco, California?
I am sooo happy there is now a store on chesnut street where the prices are actually reasonable. Sure, the jeans and cashmere is just as expensive as everywhere else, but everytime I shop here I walk out with a cute dress or top for under $100. So I can actually buy something fun to go out in that night and not feel too guilty about it. The jewelry is really great too–not too pricey, great for girlfriend presents. And the owners are awesome–cool girls that are good at picking things out and kinda fun to shop with. Overall, killer store!!!Pros + Cool owners, good prices, cute dresses Cons – expensive jeans
I L-O-V-E this boutique. The clothes are fabulous and are not sold at all the other cookie-cutter boutiques all over the country. The salespeople were so very, very helpful and the owner, Sheri, is around to offer advice on everything. I bought some Isabel Marant items the first day and came back the next day for more. Lots of girls weren’t spending the kind of money I did, and they were also treated like royalty. Yes, the clothes are pricey, but the quality and uniqueness is so very, very worth it. Check out their Mayle, Humanoid, Gary Graham, Golden Goose boots, and the skinny jeans that are as soft as leggings. Do not miss this place when you are in San Francisco.Pros + EVERTHING!!!!Cons – No place to park — walk or take public transportation there
I’d put off some of my ‘discretionary spending’ for far too long and found myself being sucked into Oceana Rain Apparel as often happens when I’m foolish enough to think I can make it past Union and Fillmore without stopping in and admiring the new selection. I challenge anyone to find a boutique with a more consistently fresh take of the shape of things to come. If you want to waste your time wading through lousy merchandise to find an occasional find, go to the super-store retailers and hope you don’t bump into someone wearing the same thing. Or head in to Oceana Rain Apparel and you’ll cut straight to the chase: no duds, unique product, and fantastic service. Oceana has clearly been at this a LONG time and knows what’s next before anyone. I can’t count the unique items I’ve bought here that have stood the test of time; three years later they still look fresh and contemporary. I bought a beautiful cashmere piece last week, just in time for the return our chilly San Francisco nights
My experience in buying a dress from Suzanne Hanley at Atelier des Modistes was nothing but wonderful. From the moment of entering her magical studio I knew I would have her make my dress. I had been planning on finding a “non-wedding dress” dress for my ceremony, something off-the-rack, maybe not even white. But after I’d visited a number of stores looking and looking and getting very discouraged I found Atelier des Modistes. In one try, Suzanne pulled something from the back of her store, and it was as if she’d read my mind. She knew exactly what I wanted. She even encouraged me to choose my own fabric if I wanted. I am a check-it-off-the-list girl. So the “process” of having a dress made for me, meaning several fittings and decision making was the only thing I worried about (ya know, the “time thing”)…well, it was the BEST experience…I got to really ENJOY the PROCESS of being engaged, get really excited about my wedding, and sink into the joy of creating a beautiful day f
