The minute I walked in to Blake, I knew I would walk out with the perfect jeans. If there were a reality show called “hunt for the perfect jeans”, Blake would be the host. For a half an hour, he focused all of his fun-loving energy on fitting my not-so-perfect figure into the perfect jeans for me. I paid over $100 and worked up a sweat trying on so many pairs, but I am so satisfied that I don’t care. He wasn’t afraid to tell me when a pair made me look fat, and he took the fit of my jeans even more seriously than me- which is very serious! There is no comparison. Pros + customer service, selectionCons – parking, price

This is a super fabulous shop. It offers a variety of styles and very reasonable prices. It’s a great little destination shop for women who like to support local business owners and are tired of the “same old, same old” found at the Mall. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Be warned …. I have never left this store empty-handed. There always seems to be something fun to buy from Chandi t-shirts and Kenzie sweaters, to local designed jewelry. As a “fashion enthusiast”, Moxie has been added to my list of shops to hit on a regular basis.

I love Mabel and Zora. I can’t speak to how easy or hard it is to return something, because I’ve never wanted to return any of my purchases! The owners are very friendly, and yes, they do offer other outfits to you. I am usually the type of person that would like to be left alone (and am hyper-alert to pushiness), but I actually find their suggestions helpful. If you don’t want help, they will respect that. Last time I was there, I bought an orange cardigan that I wore to a school interview. I got in, and I’m not sayin’ it was definitely the sweater, but it surely didn’t hurt. The prices range from affordable to regular boutique prices. Oh, and in reference to a previous post, this block of Alberta is not “sketchy”. I live in the neighborhood and I’ve never felt safer outside at night.Pros + I want to buy everything.Cons – I want to buy everything.

I have to say Nolita is fantastic. I had seen an article in Portland Monthly about the store being the best place for jeans and I was dying to check it out. I finally went and was surprised to find Nolita is not just jeans! (Sure, there was a huge wall of jeans but they had lots of my fave clothing labels, too.) My heart’s desire was a cocktail dress in the window. I discovered it is a great place for couples to go, since they have lots for men and women — my boyfriend did not feel left out! So, in the end we walked out with three pairs of jeans (two for me & one for my boyfriend) and the dress. Wallet lighter? Yes. Any regrets? No. I can’t wait to go back!!Pros + Staff is greatCons – No bathroom – have to use cafe next door.
