Where is the Best Bookstore in St. Louis, Missouri?
You should have to put up with the Borders in Memphis where I live. At its best it never compared to your Brentwood Borders in St. Louis, and the book selection in Memphis gets worse every year. I would be in book heaven with a Borders like the one on Brentwood Blvd. The Religion and Philosophy book sections are excellent; they rival the ones at the N. Metcalf Borders in Kansas City and the Buckhead Borders in Atlanta. Quit your bellyachin’ and appreciate what you have.
This bookstore has a great inventory of used books at very reasonable prices and a very knowledgeable management. Great for finding older books which you read about referred to in literary and New Yorker articles and are not in Borders or at Amazon.Pros + Great books! Book lovers paradiseCons – No cons
Wish there were a few more around – especially in need in the extremely fast growing St. Charles County area. (And PLEASE don’t shrink the store or compromise your great atmosphere like Borders did in MidRivers Mall!) Barnes & Noble, despite it’s size, offers the best browsing, atmosphere and selection. Their cafe is exceptional also.Pros + Great selection, Great atmosphereCons – Too few in our area
