Where is the Best Bookstore in Houston, Texas?
My wife and I have been shopping here since it opened. Since the first time we entered we have always felt welcome and comfortable every time we return. Some shops of this type might give you the “creeps” upon entry. Metaphysical Matrix does nothing of the sort.Quick Story: They had a water fountain we loved but couldn’t afford at the time. When we inquired about it we were told it was broken and would be thrown out. Lexia (the owner) then offered it to us for free with the condition that if we fix it we pay what we feel it’s worth. We were speechless while took possession of the this beautiful fountain. I fixed the problem and we returned later to payed her in full (minus repairs). Her kindness and trust was like nothing we seen in the retail world. In all my life I’ve never had that happen with a shop of any kind. Anyone failing to stop by this store is sorely missing out on something special. (We still use that fountain, constantly, to this day.)For anyone who’s been
There are many comic book stores scattered throughout Houston. Stores that come to mind include Nan’s Games & Comics, Midnight Comics, Bedrock City Comics, and Third Planet. Each Houston-based store has its fair share of positives and negatives. For one, even though Nan’s Games & Comics has the biggest selection of board games, it has the highest prices. And although Midnight Comics opens until midnight six days a week, it has the weakest selection of items. And even though Bedrock City Comics doesn’t have that large of a selection, it is the cleanest and most organized.However, unlike some of the worse shops (Nan’s and Midnight), Bedrock City Comics’ positives outweigh its negatives. For one, the store has the largest selection of collectibles and memorabilia out of any Houston-based comic book shop. The store sells the largest variety of merchandise out of any comic book shop in Houston (nothing even remotely compares to their Star Wars collection). However, the store does not come
