Where is the Best Bookstore in Chicago, Illinois?
A wonderful place to browse, read for a while, listen to an author. The atmosphere is friendly, and feels like home. It takes a while to find what you want, but when you do, you have already purchased “surprises” on you way. It’s great also for neighborhood events’ announcements. Employees are knowledgable.Pros + Lots and lots of books, many of which cannot be found elsewhereCons – Not wheelchair accessible, and books sometimes hard to find; also parking is difficult
This place has the best books!!! I can always find unique books here for both myself and kiddies. I love the fact that they have a lot of community speakers and presenters come into the place. I love going into a bookstore and just passing hours at a pop by relaxing pouring through books. The staff has never made me feel uncomfortable for lounging about and taking my time, even if I don’t buy something. I highly recommend this place to anyone with children, but especially anyone who has a daughter defineitely should check this place out. It is a gem of a bookstore and truly deserves the high rating it has achieved.Pros + extensive collection of certain books, great variety of hard to find genresCons – parking stinks in andersonville, not enough of other genres
