Where is the Best Bookstore in Austin, Texas?
not only a good full selection book store, but a coffeehouse, a reading room, and a lecture and discussion center as well. i have whiled away hours here reading, refreshing with coffee and a pastry, and seen everyone from bob edwards from npr to tommy chong. they bring in many authors to speak and even host spike gillespie’s annual sex in public valentine’s day music and storytelling event. really a community center
They give you 75% off of the book price if you bring a book to trade…and they accept every paperback you bring even if they have overstocks. Every book is shelved (not just the high-priced ones) so you can find tons of books for 25 cents. It’s the best deal in Austin. The Sci-Fi and Romance sections are huge.Pros + Cheap, Knowledgable staffCons – Needs paint

Needless to say I’m making a donation run to Goodwill in the immediate future. If you’re looking for junk albums or music to irritate your roommates neighbors or put the last nail in the coffin on your marriage the garb box is the perfect pick otherwise stay away. In the past I haven’t done so bad in comparison like the time I got 20 Christopher Cross albums all of the same album title and Andy Williams whole entire collection (I’m not into Andy Williams but at least I know who he is) and the staff
