Where is the Best Boiled Crawfish in Houston, Texas?
I’v been going to this place for about 6 months. All the servers are really friendly but some do need more training on food knowledge. One time the server even brought out my salad and main course at the same time. the food is pretty good overall, however, it appears to be a bit inconsistent sometimes. for examples, the last time I ate there. I ordered seafood fondeaux and fried calamari as appetizers. the fondeaux wasn’t as cheesy as it used to be, it was pretty watery, and we found 3 fried mushroom in our calamari dish. How abvious that is! the kitchen manager really need to get on top of it. Despite the unpleasant dining experiences, I really like how the bar is operating now. It has two flat screen TV constantly runing sports and news. they closed out the bar area for live music and provide awesome happy hour snacks and drinks. the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. I have been going to SRO for about 4 years now and I havent ever had a bad experience. They have so many TV’s you can watch any and every game you want. The staff there are awesome. And most of them have worked there for a while. Its nice to see a familiar face at the bar when you need to throw back a few cold ones. They have darts, pool, fooseball tables, a ping-pong table, air hockey tables. They do poker tournements regularly. And they have a new bad-ass electornic poker table game, which accomedates up to 4 people. They also have an assortment of other arcade games like Mrs. Packman, Big Buck Hunter, and Golder Tee. The beer prices are great and the food is actually really good for a sports bar. The restrooms are relatively clean for being in a bar setting. they also have a juke box and now do comedy nights on Sundays. March madness here rocks! They have crawfish and their good size too. My husband and I are both from Louisiana and both really love crawfish!! We have eaten at many other “cajun” places and no other compares to O’cajcens. I agree with the review said the crawfish need to be cleaned out and the dead ones certainly need to go. There has been a few times when the majority of our 5 lb order has been dead but I must say it has gotten much better. We always order EXTRA spicy and rarely have to add more of our own seasoning. Oh and the staff is relaxed and for the most part they are good. Hurry because crawfish season is almost over and you have to try this place!! THE SEASONING IS IN THE WATER HERE!!!!!!!!!!. I do not recommend Floyds, Woodrows, Magnolia Bar and Grill, Sam’s Boat or any other place for crawfish! GO TO O’CAJCEN’SPros + Good Crawfish, Good ServiceCons – Bad Location
I visited the Richmond location recently to have a surprise birthday brunch for my mother’s 50th birthday. Gracie was our server and I could not have asked for better service. She came out and greeted us to tell us the table was ready. She, alone, waited on 9 of us. She was very accommodating and honored my requests. I paid for food and non-alcoholic beverages. I was very worried about how separate drink tabs would work, but she handled it perfectly. They allowed me to take my own cake in and held it in their kitchen. When it came time to sing happy birthday she set a chocolate plaque and candle on the cake as well as served it. Thank you Gracie. You made my mother’s brunch a worry-free fun time!!! IF you find a waitress that isnt interested in telling you her life story or some othe rtale of boredom she may serve you in her own good time. Then the owner will charge you for the ice in your drink when you order something on the rocks. Come on 0.50 for frozen water per drink. Cold food slow service rude staff pass on this place.
