Where is the Best Blowout in Los Angeles, California?
Traci’s description says that she specializes in creative hair design and that is absolutely true. I have hair that doesn’t behave normally — it’s fine, curly in places, straight in places, wavy in places — and I also prefer haircuts that are “different,” plus I can’t stand blowdrying my hair or doing any maintenance at all — i just want a hairstyle that will allow me to wash my hair, throw in a little goop, walk out the door and have it air dry and look good. Put all that together and as you can imagine, I have a hard time finding the right haircut. But Traci gave me a really creative, unique haircut. She really listened to what I wanted and tailored the cut to my hair, my preference and my facial structure. When I asked for something that wouldn’t work, she told me and explained why, which I really appreciate. Plus she cut my bangs short, which no one ever wants to do, and she made it look good. When I moved here in January ’08 I was very disappointed to be leaving my hair stylist in Chicago. I tried 4 different salons and 4 different stylists on the West side for both cut and color and they all massacred my hair in some way; even though they said that they were experienced with hair like mine (long/medium length and curly). After all that I remembered that Shannon Kim, my stylist from 12 yrs ago in my home town of Michigan, had moved out here. (This girl had given me the most rad asymmetrical haircut back in the day that I will never forget.) I did some detective work and found her. She remembered me and we set up an appointment. When I got to her salon she immediately made sure that I was comfortable and well taken care of. I’ve been getting my hair cut + colored by LIz Ahn for the past 2-3 years now and it’s been nothing short of fabulous. She is talented on so many levels, taking my hair from it’s long long straight styles to cute short cuts, colors, highlights, lowlights, and back to longer lengths. Needless to say whatever style I’m sporting Liz always makes sure it comes out amazing. I feel very well taken care of and relaxed throughout my whole appointment. I love liz and she makes everything worthwhile in the end. I’ve only gotten more and more compliments on my hair. I trust Liz enough to let her do what looks good for my hair because no matter what she decides she always makes it look great! She is a pro when it comes to the men’s cuts as well. My boyfriend comes to get his cuts from Liz cuz no one else can quite style it up like she can. I’ve never written a review on these blogs. Ever. But after seeing Aimee, I had to let everyone else know out there about my fantastic experience with Aimee because she deserves it. Being new to California, I was looking for a hairstylist that was convenient, not too pricey and would make me look fabulous. I went to Aimee and she was amazing. It was like a before and after makeover to my hair and it exceeded ALL my expectations. I haven’t liked wearing my hair down at all when I?m at work or home because I don’t have a lot of time to make it look great in the mornings but Aimee made me love to wear it down without spending any time on it in the mornings! I am now able to live in a curling iron-free world and it still fascinates me that she made me look amazing without touching a curling iron. She styled it perfectly after my cut and due to my lack of styling skills, when I tried to do it at home later on in the week and couldn’t make it look like she did, I went back to her for help
