We got into a cab a little after 2am. “Where to?” the cabbie asked. “Good food and lots of it,” I said. He said he knew of a place if we were up for a surprise. Sure. Why not? We were taken straight over to the Peppermill. We fell in love with it immediately. The plastic trees and blue and red neon everywhere summed it up exactly. I ordered what I believe was the largest vanilla shake I’ve ever seen. And it was good! I wasn’t expecting gourmet food and ordered accordingly. I got the chicken strips and they were some of the better ones I’ve had in a while. I’d absolutely go back again, now that I know about it. We saw people in various stages of being hungover, some practically passed out in the booths. But hey, it’s Vegas, right? I loved it.Pros + very Vegas, neon
I was really looking forward to going here for my birthday party. They were expecting us and had our table reserved, we went on a Friday night. We were expecting the dueling pianos which didn’t happen because one of he piano players called in. Then myself and a couple friends ordered one of the fishbowls. It tasted good but was so weak. I am not sure there was even alcohol in it. I am not a drinker normally and only two of us ended up drinking it and we felt nothing! Our drinks were coming from the bar to the right of the entrance. All of the drinks were weak. Then when a couple of the girls went to the bar ot the left of the entrance up a few stairs, their drinks were awesome. The food was alright. The service was good. The place did start to pick up and become more fun after 11pm. So we then gave it a shot again a month later. Still there were not any dueling pianos yet supposedly there are supposed to be. We went on a recent Vegas vacay, four of us total. We were seated about 15 minutes after putting our name in although it looked like the wait would have been much longer. Got a great little booth in a quiet section in the back of the hotel, which was fabulous. We all got drinks, which were good, except mine was way too sweat (Pomegranate Champagne drink). Got appetizers of the mashed potato spring rolls and edemame, both of which were really good. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and timely. I got the spring roll appetizers which were surprisingly good. My boyfriend got the southwestern salad which was SOOOO good!!! I was craving it days later. Our friends good some good plates as well, but didn’t taste them. Overall it was a very reasonably priced meal, great service, and a good time. I wanted to go back before we left but we just didn’t have time. We also realized there’s a Grand Lux in Great Neck, NY close to were we all live, so I’m sure we’ll try this place again so
