My friends and I ventured over to HG after the Liberty Hotel line did not move at all. Conveniently located right by the MGH t-stop in Beacon Hill, HG offers a mix of casual and classy under one roof. The selection of males and females is an equal balance, and Saturday nights tend to bring out an evolving crowd of people either there to pregame, or there to stay, with new people constantly in line to get in. I have not tried any food ? stuck only to wine ? but my friends had mixed drinks and all the prices were on par for Boston. As a single female looking to mingle, I found a variety of men interesting enough to let engage me. I prefer when bars are most crowded to sit at the bar ? that way you can scope out the scene better ? and meet people who need to get drinks by helping them get the attention of the bartenders. This restaurant has great ambience. When you walk in you feel ready for an elegant evening out. The service here is fantastic, from the host who receives you and the staff tableside. The food is good at reasonable prices for a night out in Boston. This is a great date night out.

Monday through Thursday from 5-7pm, Noir offers their food menu at prices ranging from $0-5. It’s amazingly easy to cobble together a meal from all the offerings. Drinks are pricier, mostly running over $10, but are well worth it for the combination of classics and unique seasonal libations. If you price it right, you can get out of Noir with dinner for under $20.The room itself is not particularly comfortable, but if you’re looking for a dark corner to enjoy your drinks in, you’ve found your place. Of course, if you also want to see what you’re drinking, you’re out of luck.Pros + 54321 bar menu, dark roomCons – drinks are pricy, dark room

We usually go to the Warren Tavern on Thursday nights and Weekends. The food is always great but then again how do you screw up a burger and apps. Definitely try the burgers. I recommend sitting at the bar because the service seems to better and you are able to get a nice view of the big screen TVs. Most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The best thing about it this place is you can walk if you live in the area.

Thank you for being a bar that doesn’t overcharge for simple gin and tonics. At $6 each, this is good. Other than that, there is nothing really special about Pour House. It’s good for groups, and does…
