Where is the Best Bikini Wax in New York, New York?
I came across Dyanna Spa after seeing that it won for Best of New York for waxing, and was extremely pleased to noticed that it’s only a few blocks away from me in Gramercy Park! I called for an appointment and was relieved to find out they had time to book me that same day being that I was going on vacation the day after. I had a bikini and full leg wax done, as well as eyebrow threading. The whole process was fairly QUICK AND PAINLESS, the salon was extremely clean and cozy and Sabina the girl that performed everything was beyond sweet and professional. Now I know why this salon received a top rank for best of NYC for hair removal! Being such a hit or miss service, it’s amazing to know that there are salons that can deliver such great quality at such a reasonable price. I just got back from this spa. I took my parents with me – my dad had a hot stone massage and my mom had the Clean as a Whistle facial, just like I did. We all loved the services we received. The staff is very professional and accommodating. What I loved most is that Kira was very thorough when performing the extractions during my facial – and at the same time didn’t leave me looking like someone had beat me up! There was some redness here and there, but it wasn’t bad. I’ve been to places where I didn’t want to leave after a facial because I’ve been left very red and swollen! Kira was great though. Another thing I liked is that she wasn’t constantly recommending products – she recommended two services at the beginning of my facial, and after I politely declined she proceeded to do a wonderful job and knew exactly when to ask me how I was doing. This has to to be one of the best waxing places out there. I’ve been to numerous high profile and low profile places and I always end up coming back to J. Sisters. The technicians are thorough and nice, esp. LuLu. There isn’t a stray hair left. Loves it!Pros + Thorough, clean and no stray hairs!Cons – It is expensive, but just get your boyfriend to pay it!
I stopped in spontaneously after having the worst breakout of my adult life to see if i could get an appointment that same day (they give 20% off for new walkins right now even, but this was my 2nd visit here). The facialist was amazing! she was personable and gave me suggestions about my skin situation, and spent SO much time on doing the extractions properly and thoroughly, and my skin is on it’s way to recovering! I was really impressed with her efforts and the masks she used…this even included a nice shoulder and neck massage. For the $65 price, i definitely feel i got my money’s worth. It was low key, they do not push products at all and they took me on time and didn’t rush the facial. it even ran a little longer than the hour it was supposed to last, and i really appreciated that too. if you live in the east village, there’s no reason to pay more or travel out of the neighborhood. this place is great.Pros + friendly staff, no attitude, clean, punctualCons – none t
This was my first spa experience in Brooklyn as I just moved from Atlanta. I chose Magnolia because they offered the microdermabrasion service at a good price ($80 where most NY spas advertised around $120) and could fit me in on the same day I called. The place is very small, but was still OK. Sabina was very good and I enjoyed the service with her (excellent face massage techniques and I liked the organic products from Hungary.) Monika did a decent manicure and pedicure for me, pretty solid work. This is a no-frills sort of place, definitely not a luxury spa experience, but good for someone who wants a quick service and a decent price. Pros + Good product line, nice microdermabrasion service at decent priceCons – Very, very small space & not able to provide a luxury spa experience
