I had a heck of a time at this bar. Loads of fun. The service was great and the beer was cold. Try the Boilermaker to wake you up. It’s great. Sr. Bartender Rooster Billman and his apprentice Gene Gann are great hosts. Check this one out fellas.Pros + Gene Gann, Rooster, BoilermakersCons – Parking, Broken Pool Table, Lines

I was there with a bunch friends on a Tuesday night… although not my usual type of place to hang out, it was a fun time. The place was not crowded at all (I hear it’s really crowded other nights of the week), the bartender was very friendly, and the patio area in the back is very cool! The bathrooms are a bit on the sketchy side (no locks or no doors).

At one point, Eddie’s was the spot to be. Great service and great drinks. However, their “troubled” owner Norman has a strong impact on the place. The result is that sometimes you have adequate servers and others you have terrible ones. Much of the staff hates working there, unfortunately, though it’s such a great looking bar.If you can get past the sh1tty service, the cool motorcycles, WWII memorablia and trains make you say, “Darn, fat boy has some cool toys!”Pros + Fat boy’s toys, atmosphere

I liked going there even before it burned down but it has reemerged as an even better version. What’s not to like? The building is sweet, the atmosphere is comfortable, chill and energetic, the staff, rocks, the drinks are affordable with loads of specials, and there’s frequent live entertainment. I should also mention that the food is yum and diverse. They also offer sushi on Mondays. Take yourself and your posse to San Van Ness’ shining gem of good times.Pros + plenty of themCons – not close enough to my house

The Hole in the Wall moved almost a year ago to 1369 Folsom St. Beautiful setup w/ fun men & sexy bartenders. John & Joe did an excellent job building a first class bar for SOMA! (Even the bathrooms are first class!!) My new bar in SF!
