Where is the Best Big Portions, Small Price Spot in Seattle, Washington?
Went there for breakfast/brunch. The breakfast menu was interesting, not just your standard fare. I had migas, wife had eggs accompanied by a deep fried chicken breast topped with gravy. The food was excellent. Also, htey have a really good bloody mary The wait staff was decent. I would have rated them higher except for the kitchen prep time. I swear they must cook just one table’s order at a time. We literally waited for 50 minutes from the time we placed our order until the time we got it. Normally you would expect that the food would have gone cold or sat under a heat lamp with a wait that long, but it was hot, just cooked. Go figure.
I was invited to this joke of an Italian restaurant (?) for some cheap company party. I was astonished at the “quantity over quality” approach to dining. The humongus bowl of luke warm pasta arrived and I couldn’t believe they weren’t going to pay us to eat it. It was garbage. I just laughed and ordered a Bombay on the rocks. They managed to not “ef” that up and I left with a warm feeling…knowing I had dodged a bullet by not eating one bite of the crap they try to pass off as Italian Cuisine. Just say no to this hole. The only redeeming factor is that it is located next to a Ducati store…where there are actually real Italian products. Buca di Beppo is an insult to Italy!
Our party of 10 arrived at 1 p.m. Sat. afternoon. We were told by the hostess that the only table of that size would be available in 30-40 minutes. With our large group it sounded reasonable. Hostess kept saying the party at the table we were waiting for were ready to leave. We waited for over 1 hr and 20 minutes, — then the hostess decided to put 3 tables together for our party, since the party still wasn’t leaving. Why didn’t she just do that in the beginning? Customers who were waiting when we arrived had come and gone. — Couldn’t eat dessert there (ran out of time) so decided to bring a cheescake home. Our waitress offered to get it from the bakery for us and just add it to our bill. Sounded good at the time but when I got the bill, I also had an automatic 18% tip added, which would have been okay for the food and drink there BUT re-checking the bill when I got home — an extra tip of $4.50 was added on for the $24.95 cheesecake. I could have picked it up myself on t
