Where is the Best Big Portions, Small Price Spot in Seattle, Washington?
I end up eating at the food court often as I live close by. The food is good at most places not amazing but good. The glaring exception is Shilla. I love Korean food and this is the worst example I have found. Yummy House has some great treats. I sometimes get the sushi from the deli case which is ok for grocery store sushi but I would think with the amount of traffic they have and that most of the sushi is gone from the case by 6:00 that they could have a sushi counter open for fresh sushi made to order. If they could do that and get a better Korean resturant in there I would be super happy! There are lot’s of great resturants in the neighborhood so get out and explore.Pros + great people watching!Cons – sometimes have to search around to find a clean table, don’t eat at Shilla.
Have you always wanted to eat w/your fingers? Now you can be adventurous and daring all in one place. And you don’t even need a bungy rope. The Ethiopians sure know how to treat a guest. The food is delicious, filling, and unique. When you come here please don’t ask for a fork! They will bring you this special, flat sponge bread that you will pinch off and use to grip your food with. Get a little bit of everything and they will bring it served on a huge round tray with large portions of everything you ordered spread on top of one large piece of their flat bread, and make sure you eat that too when your done. It will have soaked up the spices and become a special treat all in itself. No meal is complete here w/out a tall, cold glass of their thick mango juice. The food is spicey but not intolerable. I have eaten everything on their menu, and believe me, you can’t go wrong. Lots of spicey lentil dishes, spicey beef dishes and yummy collard or mustard greens, I can’t remember which. Th
Went ot Beth’s for dinner on Friday night. No wait, everyone was friends and got seated right away. Service was fast and our waitress never let the coffee run out, even fixed juke box when it ate coins and didnt deliver. Bathroom was interesting, but all the talk I’d heard about it being not clean in Beth’s were wrong as far as I could see. Lots of drawings on walls, that was fun. Lots of different types of people, what you want when you visit the big city.Pros + Great service, hot food and lots of itCons – parking would be difficult at time
What a find! One of my friends frequents this tiny little place, and told me that they have the best scones on the planet…I had to find out for myself! The breakfast that I enjoyed boggled my mind. Fresh, fresh, fresh, and innovative. Stephanie made eggs like I had never eaten! We had a leisurely breakfast on a gloriously sunny Seattle day, sitting outside and talking to the other patrons. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty, yet healthy breakfast, and I am told that the lunches are incredible too! The portions are ginormous and so affordable. And yes, the scones are the best on the planet! Pros + Incredible food, friendly service, and a fun spot!Cons – Tiny, so get there early, or plan on sitting with others or taking out.
I went to Gorditos after hearing that it is has such wonderful food. I went there recently with my mom expecting a waiter style sit down restaurant, but was disappointed to find it to be a fast food style place. You order at the counter and take a pinata to your table. Hopefully you have enough people or hands to carry your basket of chips, dish of salsa, and your drink to your table yourself. After a bit of time, staff will show up at your table with your food. But they dont show up with utensils or napkins. We had none on our table and the waitstaff didnt even notice when she dropped off our food. The good customer service thing to do is to then offer to go get the utensils for you, or at least point out where they are. The menu looks deceivingly big, but in reality it breaks down to burritos either large or Grande. The Grande burritos are HUGE and not bulked up with rice as is often the case with other places. The meat inside is well cooked and juicy, although lacking in spice
