Where is the Best Belltown Shop in Seattle, Washington?
Yes, high-design. I often wonder if non-designers even enjoy things like ridged paper and metal porfolios, but judging by this store’s popularity I guess they do. I could do without the attitude that the salespeople sometimes employ.Really, a great selection of portfolios, pens and designy trinkets.Pros + nice selection, great taste, convenient locationCons – pricey, a bit snobby
My now husband and I, walked in to EE Robbins in search of my engagement ring. My husband was in quite the crabby mood, assuming that the sales reps were going to be more like car salesmen and try to talk us into something we could not afford. Kara was the first one to greet us, asked if we wanted any water, wine or coffee and left us to look around on our own time. I called her over when I was ready to look at something and it just got better from there. Kara was incredibly informative and patient and funny and just an awesome person and great at what she does. It didn’t take long for my husband to calm down and realize that Kara was here to help us with an important decision and make this an enjoyable experiance for the both of us. We looked at a lot of different sets and tried on everything possible before narrowing it down to two. Then once Kara told us that we needed to sit and pick out the diamond, my husband almost had a heart attack when he realized the price didn’t include the
OK – you can’t beat the boots at JGilbert. Wonderful, high quality, top brands, – even custom design options! Not the vanilla styles you find at every other store – or on every other foot in the city. But don’t expect an interested or engaged sales staff to help you much. My questions were answered with one or two words (generally a distracted “yes”, or “no” as the sales person whisked by…), and no one ever took enough interest to really ask me what I was looking for – or what they could do to help me. Since they have only 2 stores (the other one is in Tucson, Arizona) you’re really stuck being treated like a pest if you want that they have. They have fabulous merchandise, if only the buying experience were comparable!Pros + Fabulous bootsCons – Poor Customer “Service”
I went there for labor day weekend. Very convenient (a few blocks from Pike’s Place Market). They had very good bargains ($10 tops) on their sale racks that were a steal and beautiful spring dresses ($15-30) that were flying off the shelves and into the dressing rooms when I was there. Fun store.. trendy items.. great customer service. Pros + Good sales
