Where is the Best Belltown Shop in Seattle, Washington?

Its been a while since my husband and I visited Belltown and what a pleasant surprise! We were actually looking for our favorite store Ian when we stumbled upon Alchemy. From the outside we thought it will be another high priced, high attitude store, but dont judge a book by its cover! The staff were actually very friendly and non-pretentious. Though I’m no furniture guru, I just bought some furniture last year and I think Alchemy really have some very nice furniture pieces at fair prices. Also, how many stores in Seattle do you see a Koi pond in the store! Now I’m tempted to redo my living room with their furniture, after visiting them I feel my living room furniture is so “last season”.Pros + Trendy, Shopping Environment, PricesCons – Parking

I never received a hair cut that I didn’t like when I chose to go to Vain’s. The shop itself is hip, clean and very well maintained. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about hair care. I always receive excellent service from the artists. They really take their time getting to know you, your hair type and what sort of cut and style you’re looking for. However, they aren’t afraid to tell you the truth about the sort of effort and time your new cut will take. They will be brutally honest with you about the kind of work your new cut will take once you leave the salon. I always take their suggestions seriously because they REALLY know hair. Emmett does some of the best short hair/pixie/boycut styles around! Rachel (from the Ballard shop) is their curly hair specialist and is a good choice if you’ve got thick curly and unruly hair!My only complaint is that their parking SUCKS. I drive all the way from Tacoma to see these guys (yes, they ARE worth it!). I have pay to park next d

I was frantic to find my wife a memorable Christmas present this year and after visiting every “me-to” store in downtown Seattle, I finally stumbled into Urchin. The owner happened to be on-hand and after listening carefully to my problem she asked a few thoughtful questions about my wife’s tastes (of which i could only answer 50%) and she produced 3 very unique items to choose from (i ended up taking 2 of the items – a briefcase/purse (who knew they made such a thing) and a really snappy wallet to go with it.) Needless to say, this will be my first stop on my next shopping trip – thanksPros + cozy store, helpful staff, uniqueCons – Not in Nordstroms, No Mariners Stuff

The Singles Going Steady store is a great place to shop for records – for punk rock it’s probably the best in Seattle. For other kinds it’s…

Having lived here for 6 years, I’ve heard people rip on Seattle’s lack of style countless times … these people have not been to La Rousse. The clothes you’ll find there are a perfect mix of darling to edgy. Whatever hole you have in your wardrobe, La Rousse has something to fill it. I’ve also noticed that the local artists on display there have been fabulous. Right now, George Perrou’s work is up — it is delightfully colorful, and very reasonably priced. One last note — new clothes, shoes, handbags and jewelry are arriving all the time — so it’s worth making La Rousse a regular stop in your browsing routine.
