Where is the Best Beer Selection in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
Sitting outside of is great. The whole St. Anthony area is great! But the limited selection and outrageously high prices food and drink are hugely disappointing. They don’t even carry “Ranch” dressing…who ever heard of this? The place tries to be a bit snooty and ends up come across as showing little concern/understanding of the crowd they are trying to attract.Great location, poor delivery.Pros + location, parkingCons – expensive, limited selection, forget younger kids
my boyfriend and i went to this bar for the first time once we both turned twenty-one and were very happily surprised to see a wide variety of vegan all american food. for those that miss chicago dogs and mac n cheese, both are fantastic! try the bbq vegan po boy sandwich too with the vegan nacho cheese. it’s my boyfriend’s favorite thing on the menu. i’m very partial to the chicago dog though and they have a deal for 7$ where you can get a pint and a hot dog (with fries!)! very good. i love this bar. vegan white russians!! stff can be moody, but it’s all a part of the atmosphere
Barley John’s is interesting in beer and food. The outdoor area is a fun place to sit in the summers and whatnot. For that we love the place. The only downfall is that the service, while very friendly, can be slow and ditzy. It’s a very small place and even if you’re one of the few people in the restaurant expect your service to be very slow and expect that they will forget things like the glass of water you requested. They are not at all attentive to their customers who are not at the bar unfortunately. But none of it has ever been in bad spirit. The time to talk and the food and wine keep us coming back when we have the time to sit. But skip it if you’re in a hurry. Oh – and Great pizza! Gourmet pizza officiandos will love their pie!Pros + Great food, Great beer, Great wineCons – Flaky servers
Extremly authentic. A very nice place to go and have a pint. Small place but plenty of tables and TVs. However dont go there based on what the editors note about the fireplace. It may have been “crackling” before but sorry to say now it is fake. And not even gas fake. It consisits of some plastic logs and a red glowing light. So no flames or heat. But dont feel like you are missing out because it is hidden anyway in a small separate room in which a pool table takes up the entire space, so odds are you wouldnt be able to enjoy it anyway.Pros + irish, decor, intimateCons – fake fireplace
I am from NYC so I didn’t know what to expect…it was a Wednesday night and they had a special 25 cent tap beer…I ordered a Grey Goose Vodka cranberry and it was 10 dollars. Now I know it is Grey Goose, but these are New York City prices, not what I would expect in MN. Anyways, the bar was boring, the guys were not good looking, the music was bad, and extremely slow serivice. The highlight of my night is when we left to go to a different bar…..Don’t waste your time, especially if your not from MinneapolisPros + Good Happy Hour specialsCons – Boring, bad music, tacky atmosphere
