Where is the Best Barber in Austin, Texas?

My husband and I had moved to Austin and were looking for someone who could give me a good haircut for my thin, no body hair and also give my husband a good shave along with a haircut. My husband went to Super Cuts and came back looking like he had his hair done by a Cuisinart. I went to Trent and he worked with the natural waves I had only in one part of my head and gave me a no fuss hair-do that is the best I have ever had. I can travel and not have to haul along blowers, gels, etc. and it looks fabulous. He keeps my color looking natural and hides all my grey in this great style even while it has grown out so I can stretch my hair coloring to every 8 weeks. He truely is terrific. Oh yes, and my husband won’t go to anyone else now. Pros + always on time, professional, friendly, talentedCons – none

I first met Tanya, who is one of the Barocca stylists, when she was working at a different salon in Austin. I was referred to her when the lady who usually did my hair was unavailable. Tanya gave me a great haircut and I have been going to her ever since. I was a little hesitant to go to Barocca at first, since I was used to seeing Tanya at her previous location. However, the fact of the matter was that Tanya had given me the best haircuts of my life and it would be foolish to go elsewhere. (Whether it is just a bangs trim, or an entire cut, I trust her to give me a look that will compliment my face and personality.) I got to the salon and realized that Barocca has a style all it’s own: from the earthy decor to the scent of fresh coffee and revitalizing salon products. I recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a fresh and flattering look and a welcoming environment. ((…and who iSN’T looking for that?? :o))

Jaime is the BEST hair dresser and colorist there is! Believe me? I had been a client of my sister, who is also a hair dresser for years. And consistently been unhappy with creativity or lack there of, her attitude about what SHE wanted to do with my hair? not me, and her lack of knowledge. I had heard that Urban Betty was one of if not the best salon in town. I decided to fire my sister as my hair stylist and finally see someone knew. I picked Jaime from her profile online? she oozes creativity, warmth and patience. Nervously, I went to her that first time and she did something my sister never did? sit down with me and listen to what MY goals and desires were for my hair. And she has been doing exactly that ever since. The last three times I went to see her I requested something totally different from the previous time, and each time she said it was no problem, had a can-do attitude, and each time my hair was a knock-out! She is such a kind person, easy to connect to, and on top of to

I’ve been going to Johanna for over a year and I must say that I always leave more than satisfied. I began going to her after cutting my hair very short and damaging it with repeat coloring. It was completely fired and over-processed but thanks to Johanna, my hair is healthy and growing beautifully. She respects my wants and opinions while always keeping the health of my hair in mind. I completely trust her. I think she’s AMAZING and would recommend her to anyone. Not only was Johnanna great but the receptionist were great as well. I have a terrible habit of forgetting my appointment times and really appreciated the appointment reminder I received from the receptionist the night before. They were really sweet and very attentive.Pros + Everything!!!Cons – None

I started going to Lisa when she was at a salon off Slaughter and Manchaca. She was the first person who could make my naturally wavey hair work for me. She’s also the very first person I trusted to color my hair. She moved to Salon Bali (still in South Austin) and I moved with her. She was so kind as to continue to provide me with the details of her move. I’ve been to see her at Salon Sirrah when I was working up north. Now that I am working and living in South Austin it has become to time and gas consuming to travel all the way up. If I wasn’t in such a financial crunch right now I would continue to travel north to see her. I reccommend anyone to visit Salon Sirrah and ask for Lisa Lehmann!Pros + Expert with color and precision cutsCons – North location is too far for me to drive
