Where is the Best Barbecue Food in St. Louis, Missouri?

Barbecue sauce was good, but a bit ketchup-like. Fries were cold and soggy. Beans were OK, but tasted suspisciously like they came from a can. Bartender was smoking while serving “to go” food. Portion size was very large and meat was good quality, though did not taste smoked.

You will absolutely not be sorry you tried Big Mommas Barbeque! This is by far the best BBQ that I have tried. The staff is very friedly. …

As most of us in St. Louis know, SS reopened earlier this year (2006). I have been there four times since the reopening. Each time I have had something different. Not once was (or the people I shared it with) disappointed. The place has a great home feel to it. When you get there you walk up to the counter and place your order. Then they bring it out to you. If the order is take out they go over each container to show you what it is. I KNOW when I leave I have my order. Can you say that about ANYWHERE else? I can’t. They even make sure you have the right sauce when you leave. I recommend the Tenn. sauce! I have had brisket – only the sliced, its what i like! Thinly slicked and juicy. My wife LOVES the nachos and frito pie. My 15 month year old loves the ribs. Ok I love the ribs too 🙂 The pulled pork was awesome – It was even good a week later after it sat in my fridge. Don’t know how it did not dry out!As far as the sides go, you CANNOT go wrong with the jalepeno corn brea

I have tasted much BBQ, some good and some not as good. Spending time abroad and time in the south, I tasted Que from just about everywhere and consider myself a Que Dogg that can grill/BBQ with some of the best of them. My wife often asks why I buy when I can burn so well. All I can say is it must be in my genes cause everytime my truck gets close to a BBQ joint it automatically starts to slow down so I can checkout place. Looking for the smoker you know!I visited Richards Ribs close to quitting time one night (6:40 PM) and wasn’t too impressed with the order I got but, I chocked it up to being late. I ordered a 1/2 slab ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were dry but had a good sweet and tangy finger lickin sauce, the fries were fresh and well seasoned with a spicy kickin but, I have enjoyed better coleslaw though even it was not bad. Though it was late my motto is; Don’t serve the QUE if you wouldn’t eat it too!I decided to give this family owned eatery another try and arri

C&K has good business fast service. They have a sign up that says, Will gladly take your order after your phone conversation. Have your money ready when you get to the window if it’s crowded. And they can get crowded but a third person shows up from the back and quickly unfolds the crowds. While you wait, take a look at the posters of their accomplishments and awards in the BBQ business. It’s a family business that has built a tradition in St. Louis. I recommend anyone to go there. The sweet potato pies are to die for!!!!!!Pros + Always Good food and serviceCons – Carry out only!! And they do take call ins all day!
