I’ve been a fan of Memphis Roadhouse for a while, but for a little bit the food was inconsistent. I’ve been twice recently and both times everything was fantastic. Superb ribs, great pulled pork, and their wings are some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Pros + Great barbecue, good drink list, great wingsCons – Can get expensive for a large group of people

We were intrigued by the location and somewhat impressed by the ambience but as soon as the flacid onion blossom came out, I knew we should have gone some where else…I’m from the south–I know good bbq, this sucked, plain and simple. Wes’s boasts in its menu of some heavenly St. Louis style baby backs. I ordered a rackplatter, thinking I’d be totally safe…well, I was wrong. The tough ribs, lacked flavor and were totally unspired, you could tell there was no passion in the kitchen. The chicken tasted burnt. The fries were okay…waffle. The only items I slightly enjoyed were the corn bread and cole slaw. Don’t be lured in by the low prices, they are skrimping on quality cooking.Pros + AmbienceCons – Everything else

Chili Head is one of the few *authentic* places in the South Shore to get great tasting barbecue food. A plesant and relaxed atmosphere, combined with Southern Hospitality, and of course, great food make Chili Head a fine place to head on over for dinner. I love their “all-you-can-eat” chicken wings special on Wednesdays. Not to mention their burritos, which are as huge as a football! Do you like hot? Think you can handle their “Level 15” hot sauce? I’ve yet to hear anyone there say “this isn’t hot enough.” If you’re like me, and only like a little spice to zest things up, then don’t worry, they can accomodate you. Bottom line: If you leave hungry, it’s your fault. Friendly staff will go out of their way to make sure that you’re happy!!!
