I will start by saying that once the Delta took the Stewed Tomatoes and Okra off of the menu, it changed my opinion of the place. It simply is not as good as it used to be, in several ways. Aside from…

Great place to watch a game, get a burger and a couple of cold ones. The service is excellent and the shuffleboard kicks ass. Pros + parking is easyCons – it is not cheap

I hate reo’s ribs, because I once drove out there and it was like in a twilight zone…like I traveled back in time of poor texas neighbor hood back in 70’s….but to all you critics, ask your self this…how many bbq joint that you know of, will serve you a fresh bbq off their grill? no one unless it’s done yourself! it’s just not physically possible unless the joint is hopping to turn their food around fast, and Portland or Beaverton crowd isn’t your bbq eating clients. So they will either get microwaved food or from oven re-heated stuff, and thereby hangs a tail of all these critics that supposedly know the bbq business! I sincerely don’t know of any quality bbq place in Northwest unless except somewhat acceptable place like Podnah’s or Campbell’s , and even at that food is not going to be perfectly consistent sometimes because it’s cooked in a wood smoker(I’ve seen their smoker)…If a bbq food is too perfect and consistent everytime, it’s coming from the electric or gas oven, or

My boyfriend I recently ate at the Pit Stop and were both impressed with the food and atmosphere. I had the pulled pork and pineapple pizza which was very good (would have been slightlly better had the pulled pork been basted in bbque sauce) and my boyfriend had a bacon swiss burger with garlic fries which were out of this world! The service was also pretty good for a bar..(it wasn’t very busy). Next time we go, I will totally try some of their bbque as the smoker smelled yummy as we were leaving. Next time we will also come a little earlier as they have happy hour 3-6 M-Sun! Pros + selection of food and price..very reasonable!Cons – smoke..lots of it!

After living in Chicago for three years and taking trips to Kansas City and Memphis just for the BBQ Buster’s does not realy stand a chance. HOWEVER, for Portland it is O.K. I reccomend calling ahead and picking it up, ambience is kinda hoopy. Do not get food in off-peak hours. It sits there and dries out, in particular, the chicken. The sides come right out of the can. Brisket and Baby back are the best. Another added bonus about bring it home is you can use you own BBQ sauce, becasue what they have is pretty weak.Pros + Baby back, BrisketCons – Ambieance, Sides
