Where is the Best Barbecue Food in Portland, Oregon?
I have heard good stuff about this place. Though it was a couple years ago. When I arrived, I was greeted as I entered the door by a few flies. Hmmmm…. oh well, it was summer and flies sometimes get in when the door gets opened. OK, fine. I sat down and my arm stuck to the table from somebody doing a shoddy wipe-down. When I scooted across the seat to let my husband sit next to me, I got what looked like cornbread crumbs all over my legs. When my husband was brought a high chair for our toddler, he was handed a crusty wooden high chair that looked like it had been used at least a dozen times before we got it. This not only has the best BBQ meats but the cole slaw with horseradish is excellent, the potatoes salad comes with horseradish or regular, they are both incrediable (my favorite is with the horseradish). The corn bread is great. The beef brisket, pull pork and ribs are a must. I am very picky about food but when I come across something I like, I should be in sales. There is not one item that I have had so far that I wouldn’t buy again. My whole family asks if we haven’t had it for a couple of weeks and we never eat out. So anyone who like BBQ or just home cooking must try Uncle Wally’s Southern Cross BBQ to really appreciate what I am saying. I would be willing to bet they would become a regular customer. It is excellent hands down.
Yee Haw, barbeque. The food was average for BBQ.. The chicken was good, the pork ribs were pretty darn tasty, but please, stay away from the beef ribs. I dont know if i’ve ever had good beef ribs, but i sure didnt like these. Ohh, and all BBQ has fat on it. It kinda gives it flavor… Busters had a pretty good meat to fat ratio.Pros + EasyCons – Weak sauces, Lack of wet naps
