Where is the Best Barbecue Food in New York, New York?
This place is a guaranteed good time! You cannot beat the drink specials and just the smell of the food makes you want to get a table and split a few snacks with your friends. There’s literally something for everyone, from fried apps, to healthy salads, ribs, pork and anything in between. We went to watch football and no matter the crowd, you can see the TV’s from every angle. A perfect weekend hang out. I will definitely make this a regular place to come in and eat. Pros + fun/energetic vibe, delicious comfort foodsCons – can get busy
I went there in july for my boy friend’s birthday and we were 19 people all together. They managed to seat us in their small restaurant and we had an amazing time and I can only highly recommend this place. It’s cozy and romantic and the food is incredible. We tried everything on the menu and the care they put into all this cooking really shows in the taste. Everything was super fresh and you could clearly feel that it had not been seating there waiting to be served. What I liked most of all was the fact that they have a lot of super fresh (and very good…) salads, and a lot of items for vegetarians which is kind of rare in a BBQ place. It really made it easier for non meat eaters to order and enjoy themselves. What I liked the most ? The wings: spiced just enough. And their French Fries…One of a kind. when your living in a city that could charge $20 for a half chicken its nice to see you can still get a whole chicken for $12…The honey chicken is my fav… and the drinks are as big as your head for half the price of say a friday’s or someplace that has come to be known for those huge drinksPros + Inexpensive, good drinks
I love the food. Me and my “pseudo bf” John went one tuesday and had a great time of authenticating this white place of modern decor – truly, a great asian fusion to have a dinner date. The wait staff is great (thanks for checking my ID for the Japense beer – made me feel very young) and the food is above expectations: I had the short rib korean style with a mixture of a peanut base noodle and he had a seared duck with sticky rice and chinese sausage. The price may be more than what you ordinarily pay in Koreatown and Chinatown – but the portion is not sacrificed for it – moreover, the sweet, succulent and spicy flavor of infused Western influence in a seemingly decorated restaurant. So, it a real thumbs up for Bar Q – with a seal of approval from my man.Pros + great staff, nice and friendly neighborhood, and romantic getaway with great foodCons – high valued dish, and seating may be very tight next door if for two
