Where is the Best Barbecue Food in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?
We always celebrate birthdays or special family occasions at Famous Dave’s. The ribs are outstanding and so are the side dishes and desserts. Portions are large, and we usually take home enough for a second meal. We’ve eaten at Dave’s many times, and the service is always prompt and everyone from the hostesses to the waiters or waitresses and bartenders make you feel welcome. They also have a take out menu, so you call in your order, pick it up and enjoy Dave’s food at home as well.Pros + Food, service, good music, down home casual atmosphere
Ah Speedqueen – No frills, none, but this is the real deal. Just watch the smoke billowing and try to contain your hunger as you catch a scent of the smoke!Try the shoulder or ribs. The black eyed peas are wonderful, but the greens are very salty – which if this is your thing, you’ll love. I’ve actually never eaten in the restaurant because they have a convenient drive through – the restaurant itself is strictly utilitarian. This is the sort of food you’ll crave and the sort of place I would take a friend to from out of town and say, “Now this is real Milwaukee”. My overall view of the restaurant is outstanding. It is a very cleanrestaurant. The calm welcoming atmosphere is complemented by an ambianceof jazz music played in the background. The service is usually prettyquick and the quality of food is always excellent. Friends of mine whohave received there catering services rave nothing but good thingsabout them.
