Where is the Best Barbecue Food in Los Angeles, California?
Up the street from a few pretentious Hollywood hot-spots, I find the delicious haven of Brazillian cuisine to be a true refreshing delight. I suggest going for the most interesting sounding dishes–Brazillian cuisine is truly wonderful, and you can’t go wrong here, so goo for something unique.It is always crowde because of the prime West Hollywood location, sometimes the patrons a re a bit rowdy because they just got out of a bar, or are perhaps going to one. Sometimes the service suffers a bit because of this factor, but I don’t blame Bossa Nova entirely for that, though they should accomodate the clientele as best as possible.Parking is a toughie– I try to avoid weekend night and I can usually find parking at that park on San Vicente, or on Almont just one block West.Pros + Great unique food, worth all the cons!Cons – Parking is a hassle on weekend, croowded
I ate here last Saturday-it was the first time I’d been back in awhile. Food is fresh, there’s plenty of it and the meats are pretty decent. Overall it’s a good value for the price. My partner is not a big meat eater but she enjoyed the salads and absolutely LOVED the rice and beans. Go figure! If you’re in the area and you’ve got an appetite you really can’t go wrong here. If you want quiet and romantic then go somewhere else.
This is my favorite BBQ spot in L.A. hands down. Having grown up in los angeles and lived down the street from Philip’s, tried Woody’s, and cried when Leo’s closed I am so happy I found this place! Who knew the best bbq place would be Downtown!! You get HUGE portions, tender and perfectly seasoned meat, and the sauce alone is worth the trip. But its sad that the customer service is ridiculous (i.e. wrong orders, rude drivers, etc…) When I want bbq i kinda question do i REALLY want to go thru the hassle of putting up a fight and trying to order my food and hoping they get it right. But when i go ahead and go thru all the drama and finally get my food it was actually worth it. Pros + The sauce, meat, and portionsCons – Customer Service
This place is hitt or miss. Recently I had was craving a good steak, and I came to Wood Ranch and ordered the rib eye; it was extremely delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend their scrumptious fresh-baked rolls, are covered in a thin film of olive oil and garlic. I’ve had other meals from their lunch menu that did not impress me as much; once I got the tri-tip and it was cold in the middle. Perhaps the issue is that their “cheap” lunch menu isn’t as good as their full-price dinner menu? I would murder or marry for the DELICIOUS food prepared by The Chicken Lady!If you haven’t had her Ceasar Chicken Sandwich, her mac and cheese, her thai sticks, her mesquite sticks, or her dessert…YOU HAVEN’T LIVED!THE FOOD, THE SERVICE, THE ATMOSPHERE IS SO PLEASANT! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED! I have eaten her food now for four days in a row! I need a rehabilitation program…STAT!My first time eating there was Friday, the food was so good I had to return the next day, and I saved some for yesterday and I’m finishing the last bit today for lunch!Pros + THE MOST DELIGHTFUL LUNCH EXPERIENCECons – NOT OPEN FOR DINNER 🙁
