Where is the Best Barbecue Food in Los Angeles, California?

Wood Ranch BBQ is one of my favorite places to eat and my family and I eat there both on a regular basis and on special occasions. The barbecue is some of the best in the area, the salads are tasty and unique and the turkey burgers are wonderful. I have regularly experienced good to excellent service and the food in generally brought to the table in a timely manner. The only drawback is the price, as my family of four – 2 adult, 1 child, 1 toddler – can’t seem to leave there without paying $60 and up. I also recommend planning a late lunch or early dinner as the wait can be long, especially on the weekends. Overall, if you are prepared to pay a bit more, Wood Ranch BBQ has good food and service.Pros + Food, barbecue, serviceCons – Price, can get crowded at peak dining days and hours

Why does anyone come here anymore? I went a few weeks ago and drove past it today and thought what exactly is it that keeps people coming back; or their new customers coming in? Even from the outside the place looks dirty – going in it looks even worse. The place needs a few cans of paint on the inners and outers as well. They charge enough for the food and bottled water (4.25 for a Figi) you would think that somewhere in between paying their employees $6.75 an hour (which is a little too much for the service I have received there) and paying off the light bill they could take down all those awful, dusted knick-knacks and reclaim what could be left of a decent restaurant. The food is great, sometimes. Then there are times when things just seemed like they were sat under a heating lamp or left at the bottom of a pan all afternoon. This particularly happens with the cornbread. I do not recommend it at all – or I do, just know you could get sent to the dentist with a chipped tooth. I woul

I’ve never rated a resaurant before, but here it goes. I expected a large joint, but Zeke’s is a small yet cozy eatery. Could decide if I should order the Memphis style baby backs or the Kansas City spare ribs. I decided to go with the baby backs, because hubby got the sampler platter, which meant that I could taste the spare ribs on his plate. Thank goodness I ordered the baby backs, because I thought the spare ribs were a little too fatty. The baby backs didn’t have the meat falling off of the bone, but they were tasty. Also tasted the chicken on the sampler platter, it was very juicy with good flavor. I thought the cole slaw was a bit dry, and the garlic toast was a little too toasted. I rated this restaurant a 4 because the other members in my party did not have any complaints. Oh, if you have a large group, good luck. You’d better give them a call first. So there you go Zeke’s! We’ll more than likely go back again.Pros + Service was very good. Ample parking in the

I love Chris’n’Pitts Restaurants, but for the past two years, I have been consistently disappointed in one of their dishes: the Beef Barbecue Ribs. At the Downey restaurant, they arrive at my table, lukewarm and drenched with their bottled barbecue sauce. Instead of the meat practically falling off of the bone, it usually turns out to be chewy and dry. Initially, I thought that maybe I picked the wrong weekday to order ribs, so I made a concerted effort to arrive when the place was consistently busy and the meal turnover was exceptionally high–thereby insuring that my order of Beef Barbecue Ribs would be freshly made. Despite my Friday night and Sunday night experiments, the Beef Barbecue Ribs were still a hit and miss. However, you do get good value for your money here, so now I just stick to their other consistently well-made dishes like their steaks and breaded pork chops dinners.

We were originally quoted a 2.5 hour wait for a table of 10 tonight, but luckily people flaked and we had an hour wait for a table of 6. Unfortunately Lucille’s no longer takes reservations so be prepared for a wait unless you get there early as in “just opened for dinner 5 mins. ago early”. Very packed with many large groups of 20+ and being part of a large mall, Del Amo, there were quite a few kids as well. Drinks at the bar were nice and strong, interesting chioce of using jars as cups. We started with onion strings and stuffed jalapenos which were tasty and not too greasy. Everyone at the table had something different and no one had any complaints of the food. Spareribs and baby backs were tender and meaty. Beef ribs a little tough close to the bone but were juicy and had a lot of meat. Tri-tip was tender enough to rip apart with fingers and the 1/2 chicken was juicy and plump even the breast part. And they serve massive amounts of food for decent prices, about $25 for th
